Looks like BG took down Garuda this morning. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/43880-Garuda-s-Wings-Clipped-Where-The-Wind-Blows Didn't see a thread up about it yet, so figured I would start one. Lol my guess was 23 hours 30 mins, what the hell was I thinking with BG hammering on it?

So I guess it was more like ~8 hours until she was defeated, then. Sounds like it took BG quite a few attempts to pull it off, though.

I don't know if they are going to factor the maintenance downtime into the time frame, (I wouldn't think they would) but yeah right around 7 1/2 to 8 hours is what people in that thread have been saying. Richard stated it was 32 attempts, spoke very highly of the fight, and said it was still quite challenging. Looking forward to giving it a go as soon as we can.

I fought the lv. 40 Garuda 3 times and wiped. The fight is challenging and fun. I think I have an idea of how to beat her now but can't wait to have a go at hard mode. Very cool boss and tons of fun. Still no way I grind it for a weapon, not my forte, I still don't even have an ifrit weapon. I'll wait til they relax the requirements of those weapons.
Anybody know what the wonderous scarf of wit actually does besides add a little bit of defense? Does it have any "special" traits?
