I've been running wild lately trying every MMO I can get my hands on. I tried Aion since it went free and I hated it. I've been trying to get into GW 2 beta and have seen a lot of gameplay footage of tha game. I love somew concepts they have going on but a lot of people saying the dynamic events are very repetetive so who knows how that turns out but I think I'll play it since its f2p. And lastly I tried TERA beta and I loved it, such a charming game and very fun to play both PvP and PvE when it comes to BAMs (I.e., big ass monsters, think HNMs but more prevalents and much more actiony) so I'll be buying it but...
I always come back to FFXIV. Not because the game is that great now but I just have a feeling that of all the MMOs on the market FF has the best chance of getting the overall game feel right, even though FFXIV 1.0 sucked. So I'm really hopeful that 2.0 will turn this around and I hope they do because this is the only series that hasn't gone with the quest hub to quest hub to quest hub model (which even TERA has but it's easy to look past) and I want an MMO with a huge world that gives you a reason to explore and go back to old places and visit even. In most modern MMOs you leave old places behind and the high level reigns become the nay places that matter, even FFXI became that too but FFXI made use of a lot of regions in the game even low level areas at higher level. Anyway, I just hope 2.0 is that game. Concept wise it seems to be, hopefully execution is great. Otherwise I think it'll be TERA for me for a while anyway.
