I'll do this the best I can.
FINAL FANTASY XI was originally organized to be based on power leveling and where five to six players circled around one monster when in combat. "With FINAL FANTASY XIV, we’d like to design battle for unaccompanied players to join in, for extremely large battles for players to playact unitedly,” said Square- Enix director Nobuaki Komoto.
(My input: Final Fantasy XIV was in development for five years or so, might they have taken what they've learned from here and implemented them as a test in Final Fantasy XI for Campaign and Besieged?)
The close installment in the program, FINAL FANTASY XIII, will be released in Japan this year before inward in North America in 2010. However, Square-Enix don’t make any formal plans for a FINAL FANTASY XIV beta, but have hinted at a longer beta period than FINAL FANTASY XI, which itself had a beta of almost eight months.
In fact, weapons are so important to FINAL FANTASY XIV that the logo has been designed to reflect this, and this is shown through the idea of a ‘handwheel’.
(My input: I took the explanation of the 'handwheel' out, I couldn't translate that.)
With the XIV development team using everything they learned from FINAL FANTASY XI, they would like feedback from players. The development team is closely watching over the progress of their new MMO, as it's currently still being developed over the next year. FINAL FANTASY XIV is currently set for a simultaneous worldwide release in 2010, sometime after "Terminal Vision Cardinal". (?) It's going to be released in English, ?, ?, and Japanese.
While the game will be released for PC, and supposedly console-exclusive to PS3, Square-Enix has hinted that FINAL FANTASY XIV will make it to the XBOX 360 as well. The game will abandon the use of the PlayOnline Viewer, and exchange it with something else, or maybe nothing at all.
There may or may not be some form of a subscription fee. Whatever is utilized, the business is willful to be cross-platform. Square-Enix also confirmed that there are no plans to close FINAL FANTASY XI, with the XIV planned to run alongside its predecessor. “We hope that one day, players can play XI, and another day players can enjoy XIV”, Komoto explained.
Square-Enix has stated that there are hidden meanings about how the game will pass interior the logo. Square-Enix is currently employed on a multi-player online scale.(?) FINAL FANTASY XIV Online was disclosed during Sony’s association at the E3 Expo.
I took out the last paragraph, it made no sense. Regional vendors, what?
