I wonder what kind of Cid we'll have...Follow

Yeah, I was just wondering. My apologies if this has been raised somewhere else but I've been seriously trying to picture what kind of Cid Square Enix has drummed up for us in FFXIV.

Will we get another reincarnation of the genius engineer? An eccentric but villianous scientist? A strategic general? A monarch? What are your thoughts?

And while we're on Cid, another question that just occured to me: Anybody wanna see another Gilgamesh?

I'd like to see Cid in a role as an architect, remembering back in the Rapture video he could design one of the more advanced marvels... or a floating city like Balaamb from FF8, but much much bigger.

Totally agree on that one. If he has to be an architect and designs a floating city, maybe it'll be one that looks like Bhujerba (from ffxii)?

Here's hoping he's some sort of builder or engineer. I'd love it if he could pull through with, say, the first large update/expansion and invent something massive that would somehow be such a boon in terms of gameplay for the entire community that we'd all look upon him the same way we would your average FF airship building Cid.

I'm definately hoping for the FFVII Cid; cocky, with a foul mouth. He is easily my favorite FF character. He's got to have the ambition to fly his own airship one day. That's another reccuring theme in the Cid character.

I would love to see Shantotto in the new game. I know its a new world, but they could spin it somehow. She is one of my favorite ffxi characters in the game. oh~hohohohoho~ ... err em...
