FFXIV has been announced for two days now... What makes you think there won't be any new races? From what we've gathered ALONE people are about 99% sure there will be Male Mithra, and also there's a mysterious horned race people are speculating to be Gria in the art on the website. For being out two days, I think that's a lot to go off of... Again, what makes you think they won't be adding them?...

Again you said it yourself "No new races announced SO FAR." key word being SO FAR (which in return means that its not set in stone and there could be new races.) not damn we are stuck with NO new races. Now please calm down and have fun. This is exciting.

It's pretty clear there's another race that is either just for art purposes or just going unconfirmed for now, something that resembles a Gira.
Someone commented that he could be a summoner, perhaps it's just a taru with a new kind of summoning horn? Though it would detract from one of SE's many traditions to show it like that.
