Still, FFXI was always in the back of my mind and I did have good times with the game. To that point I am looking forward to FFXIV and plan to beta test it whenever they have it open.

1.) Subdefault, greens and whites with hints of blue for some sort of background colors? o.0 Or more rustic leather browns, olive drab camo type colors to reflect the rustic feel of the clothing and color palette from the main screenshot on the FFXIV site.
2.) Galka black mage. Or Galka tank. But I'm aiming at a magey job mostly, and definitely Galka.
3.) Knight city, because everyone knows the Galka mage would catch flak in the mage city, and get laughed at in the tech city.

They summon fireballs and fart lightning. From their eyes.
Even thinking about them makes enemies explode.
Having one in your PT is like a free ticket to defeat Absolute Virtue.
That's the reason why only one of them is allowed in PvP. Per server.

So, I doubt I am alone in this, but I have been "away" from ffxi for about 2 years now, but the news of 14 really got that "my addiction was so deep it never really left my system" feeling all a twitter in my insides. I would love to joi this group, assuming all kinds are welcomed.

Why not joined a guild for Age of Conan months before the release, made it easier to pass the time before it came out and made the game a little more fun then it turned out to be.
Going to hold off on names at this point till we get more info on lore and stuff for Haiderin.
Think I'm probably going to go Mithra this time around and a RDM/support job.

Yeah, I was in a prerelease guild for WAR and we experienced a large schism due to the delay of the game and drama of going Order or Destruction. I really hope SE follows on their promise of a long beta period so we all can get to try out the game instead of waiting and speculating for months before release.

I like this organization early on thing, might not be such a mess at launch. I understand that zam is seperating into seperate ls's by city's but I hope when we all catch up in the "new dunes" we can combine to one ls? That would be pretty cool.

1. I don't really mind what color the linkshell will be. As for the name, I'm leaning towards SubDefault.
2. I'm going to most likely pick Hume WAR(Depending on how FFXIV is with jobs/skills etc, I would like to be 2h melee DD) (For now, my character name will be Bloodpetal...I'm planning to change it so just jot down Bloodpetal until I edit this comment with my new name.)
