New Job ClassesFollow

What job classes would y'all like to see in this FF? Looking at the official site:

there is a huge concept art pic that shows a couple of jobs, including White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, Dancer, and probably other jobs I can't distinguish too clearly.

But other than the possible returning jobs, what new jobs would you like to see in this game? By new, I mean to the FF Online community, not the FF series in general.

We already have that in Bacon Knight though.FFXI has bacon mages, so FFXIV gets Bacon Knights. It's a simple concept, and I think it'll catch on

I hope they add puppetmaster or a puppetmaster-like class. I really like the concept of the job, and I adore the cute automaton. It's a shame the addition/updates/whatnot of PUP was poorly executed in XI.

Ok, well I know in the past FF games dancer and bard were designated for female and male characters respectively. In FFXI, they changed that, which I am completely fine with. However, at the same time they also specified the differences in the roles each of these jobs play. Made them more unique. So now we have a dancer and a bard. Well, where is the song mage? Yes, I know that bard kind of covers that already, but I would like to see it as its own class. Bard can keep doing what they do with buffing, and debuffing, and whatnot. However, I would like to see them only using instruments. Then that could make room for a song mage class. Maybe make the song mages focus more on direct damage spells?

Anyways, the reason I want to see this is that I am huge D&D fan. I read a lot of the novels Wizards of the Coast put out. I have seen concepts similar to the song mage in the anime "AH MY GODDESS", and the "Lunar" RPG series. But I recently got through with a great trilogy from the Forgotten Realms universe called "The Lady Penitent". I wont bore you with the details of the story line. If you like this sort of thing, read it yourself. I will however say that one of my favorite concepts of the book was how the priestesses did battle with beautiful songs of prayer to their goddess. I just loved the sound of the warrior/priestesses called Dark Song Knights too. Ok, so I am not trying to turn FFXIV into D&D, I just would like to see song mages as a new job class.

On a side note, song mage or no song mage, could we maybe have a different music or song for each spell? Just a thought.

When they announced FFXIV I wanted to go back to FFXI and play for a while, but I knew I'd burn out on it fast and get frustrated, so instead I started playing FFXII again. That said, I'm really hoping for something along the lines of Sky Pirate. Bonus points if he comes with a silly British accent.

As long as they have the original 6 from XI and BST, I'll be happy... well, SMN too, even though I don't play 'dat.

If they can work in a way to include Magic Mormon Underwear, though, I'd be all for whatever job wears that.

Really, underwear isn't such a bad idea... another couple of gear slots...

I would love to see something like an Alchemist - a job that allows the player to combine typical, regular items (like the stuff mobs drop), with potions, etc., during combat to produce special attacks and what-not. Similar to what Rikku did in FFX, or the job that was available in X-2 (called Alchemist, I think?).

Nirate, a pirate and ninja combo. thier abilities get better the more drunk they become. till they become completely intoxicated and self-destruct. lol

well bacon classes aside <i dont know why but i cant say baconmage without laughing a LOT...maybe its because its 5 in the morning and i havent slept yet *shrugs* regardless thats funny as hell>

-chocobo knight, otherwise known as the chicken knight, or the sesame street knight

-jedi knight*, wrong universe? maybe. awesomesauce with a side of omfg amazing? definately

-nighty knight**, the sleepy knight

-cactuar knight**, spent so much time riding cactuars, their butts have toughened...making it impossible to kick their butts

-geomancer, turning the entire world into a weapon

-time mage, if my time knight is totally unreasonable for you narrowminded people out there XD lol

-sage, a non melee redmage, completely dedicated to magic

-viking/berserker

-pilot, its supposed to be more sciencefictiony right? maybe they can be inside a vehicle of some sort <some mini robot armor, nothing extravagent. think of a much smaller version of rikku's machina maw dresssphere from x-2> and thats their armor. instead of buying traditional armor, they buy parts for the mech they ride in. so instead of buying say, i dunno, a glove...they would buy a mech hand

-something i didnt say that i nwould enjoy, it should have knight at the end!!!

I thought eggplant wizard was a subjob for baconmage.

Unfortunate side effects are having to walk around with a giant glowing crystal over your head and wondering where you bathroom went when you need it the most.

Power Ranger - Like a regular ranger, but with more power. I'm calling it.

I think since they added DNC as an actual job they should just throw Juggler in their from FFTA.
