My sons have been playing Free Realms and want me to play... so I have a i7 965 running 12GB of RAM and a RAID 0+1 and 3 EVGA GTX280's running in dual screen SLI with the focus screen being a 2560x1600 resolution. Everything is MILDLY overclocked and has SUPER air flow, no temp issues here. I run Windows 7 with Explorer 8 and tried Firefox as well.
When I played Free Realms it worked the very first time. Now everything I log in, it gets to the point where the game is loading and I can hear the music and then it just goes to black screen and then right back to my log-in screen on Free Realms. The really FREAKY thing is when I reboot after attempting to play Free Realms, it BSOD's and references nvlddmkm.sys as being the problem... so sounds like a video driver issue, right? Well I run updates on my video drivers every month or two and I tried checking for another update. It made no difference.
I can play anything out there no matter the video demands but it seems my video is experiencing a problem with Free Realms. Any suggestions?

Well, it shouldn't be your system that's causing it unless they have a conflict with that video card. It's possible that the game doesn't support SLI, but I'm not certain since I've never tried using SLI with my setup.
I had a similar issue in the past and deleting the entire Free Realms folder and letting it re-download worked for me. In XP it's found in C:\Program Files\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\Free Realms\, so it should be found in the equivalent for Windows 7. If that doesn't work I'd suggest posting on the official Technical Support forum and hopefully the SOE team can figure it out for you.
