Thursday's Entry

So after last night's update, I just might be able to get some of the racing quests done. From what I've heard, it's a lot easier now ... I will definitely have to go try. And while I'm at it, I want to try the Bobblehead code during a race ... I have read that it's pretty funny ... all head and no car almost. I need a laugh, so that's what I'm gonna do.

Thursday-

I've been playing FreeRealms since Beta. I really enjoying playing because its a great way to relax after raiding on EQ2. The one thing I'm obessed with is doing quests. In both games I love to see my completed quest number going up.

My favorite job is a toss up between the Archer and the Wizard. Not really sure why these are my favorite but I seem to have the most fun when playing them. Although I have tried to keep all my combat classes close to the same levels.

My favorite pet would have to be my only pet. Which is the Black Lab, that I named Razzmatazz. When I actually buy a pet I'm going to buy my other favorite. Which is a cat from the Stillwater Crossing Adoption Center, named Pooky. I think this cat is soo cute. I'd also buy her a dragon suit. :-}

I really enjoy playing the TCG. I love the art work on the cards. One of my favorite pieces of art is the Baby Wolf Fang eating the bone. If he was real I'd take him as a pet. :-} The game was pretty easy to figure out, also.

Well I think that wraps things up. I enjoy the game very much. I play Drucilla, a human, on Sever 10. I'm hoping that they make Dwarfs a playable race, so I can have my other favorite character. Dirt the Dwarf.

I love Free Realms, it's the first MMORPG I've played. I love the graphics. It's a beautiful game to just wonder around and look at. I love the Adventurer job, so I can look around and collect junkpiles. I love how my dog can find treasure chests also.

My favorite job in free realms? ALL OF THEM!! This game has a big appeal to me because I like being able to change what I want to do when I want without having to create a new charachter, or drop one job for another job. I see this game going far.

I can't say what my favorite thing to do is, just depends on what I'm doing that day! Racing has been my favorite past time as of late. Can't wait for soccer though ;)...

Thursday's child:

The Postman stood atop the small knoll, staring down at the peaceful town below. His stance was casual, but confident. Looking down at the white dog who quivered beside him, he smiled quietly, "Arrow, its almost time. Soon the town will be mine, and you will have doggy bones every night...".

The Postman had many tools now at his disposal, having studied the Ways of many a local master, from Archery to Wizzard. Many were the keys at his belt, many were the implements of destruction waiting for his signal, not the least being the feared Ant Army he had so relentlessly assembled.

"Now if Grexon can only find some darn saddles, we'll be ready to roll...."

Today's goal is to get back to my own account (not my daughters'!) and work on those driver quests! I think I prefer the demo driver--it's just too fun doing flips off the ramp in Wildwood, and even better when you land on someone! We actually have more fun with the TCG offline since we all are at lvl 20 as cardies. I know they are busy with the driver and soccer stuff, but I cannot wait to see the dwarven homeland and other areas that are "coming soon". The first thing I'll be doing then is exploring for buttons and new collections! Till tommorrow-----

Thursday entry madness!!

Today I raced my way to victory with the decreased difficulty kart racing update. My kart racer is now a trophy holder! And snazzy-lookin might I add. Now, to crunch my way to victory with my demo derby guy. It was also cool seeing the comic book people in FR now, though they don't have any new quests.

I also met some pretty cool people today. I am also really excited about the TCG update that includes putting our face on a trading card. How cool is that?

well, lets see. with 256 collections started (163 finished) and 925 quests done, theres still plenty to do. with the new update, its time to get back to racing and blowing cars up. i think im going to finally finish my medic today as well.

so much to do, so little time. if there were ever a reason for more hours in a day, it would be Free Realms :)

Hi I'm Deckard Paws. I've been around since Free Realms was released. My current home is server 7

My obsession is collecting new outfits(clothes and armor) so that I can look pretty and maybe unique with an outfit for every occasion. I spend coin as fast as I get it on Adventurer clothes and Ninja Armor, and lately have been using all my tickets on the ten ticket chest.

I don't know what my favorite job is. I like Card Duelist, Ninja, Kart jobs, and Adventurer. Sometimes in that order :) I think doing any job minigame with friends is the most fun. But really what I want to get into when I can take the time is making videos/films. I hope to someday have a guild with a film crew.

My coolest reward is my Swirly shirt. The Day Omnious told me about them I just had to get one so I could see what they look like, we started grinding for tickets, but he gave up quickly in boredom or frustration. I kept grinding till I got over 300 tickets went straight to the vault and within my last ten pulls got a Swirly Shirt! It's my most treasured because I can't seem to get another from the vault after using up over two thousand more tickets on different days.

For Friday:

I'll be keeping with my posts' theme of comparison between Free Realms and EQ2, since EQ2 was the only other MMORPG I ever stuck with.

One of my biggest obsessions in EQ2 was collecting. Shinies!
Collections are also one of my biggest obsessions in Free Realms. I especially love the city and location ones where you have to climb into odd places you wouldn't normally travel to.
There are so many collections in Free Realms!

Since this is the last day, I'll end it on the things I'm excited to see implemented soon:
Housing! Free Agents. Penguins! New hair styles and suchlike. More ridiculous outfits! Did I say housing? =P

Cyrano knew that pixies were evil. Maybe not every single last one of them, but for the most part, pixies were evil. And not just Gregory, but many pixies have a glazed, semi-possessed look, with glowing eyes. By the small gods, there was even that pit of the damned called "Merryvale", overrun with evil pixies.

Cyrano took another swig of his funky cold Medina, and smiled quietly to himself, as he contemplated removing all the evil from the realm.

Friday's Entry

Well ... here's to Friday! The last day of this contest, but also the last day of my work week ... which means MORE TIME FOR FREE REALMS OVER THE WEEKEND! :P Maybe I'll be able to level up my ninja so I can actually use this sword when I win it.

Win or lose ... thanks for the contest Zam!

I'm going to be spending more time on the kart stuff today. The racing is defintely easier now. The demo derby is easier, but the mechanics of it are still frustrating.

I'll also be spending some time helping assisting my son in leveling up his ninja.

Woot TGIF!! Unfortunately that means its the last day and last chance for the contest. Good luck to everyone, i hope i finally get to win something. Been using ZAM since around '99 and its always my first stop for game info. What a great community here. ( even if ive never won anything yet, rofl)

So to end the week, im gonna look ahead. Cant wait to play soccer. Hoping to have some sort of guild on guild tournament, that would be so much fun.

Also im extremely excited about Druids. From what i understand it will be a hybrid class, in that you can level it in combat instances as well as a minigame. And i think from the files ive dug up, looks like it will be some sort of Mah'jong style game. Cant wait to see what sort of abilities they give it. Im thinking something like a cross between Medic and Wizard, as Druids are notoriously a nature oriented healer with offensive spells as well.

And of course, everyone is hyped about housing. I really hope it comes close to the system in EQ2. And of course that means i hope theres a carpentry job for us in the future, so we can make some great furniture for ourselves. I also hope there are multiple styles in the different cities around Free Realms. My only hope there is that they dont ruin it by pounding more SC adds in our face and forcing us to "buy" our housing, but that may be just a pipedream. Im certain the best furniture will only be available from SC.

Well, its time to finish up Demo derby and Kart racing this weekend. Then i can wait in solitude for new content, knowing ive done all i can :)

I know I'm late to the party on this, but it's better late than never. Now on to my entry for Friday:

I started out my Free Realms experience just as a wandering beta tester intrigued by rumors of tasty morsels hidden beneath the game's candy coating. At first I was drawn to the card game and the well-crafted mix of luck, planning and strategy it provided. Then exploring the nooks and crannies of the colorful paradise I found this world to be. What started out as a solo experience soon blossomed unexpectedly into a social one when I discovered I wasn't the only grown-up in Neverland.

When I moved on from the fledgeling stage of learning and discovery I found what really kept me going on Free Realms. The delight I took in my ever-expanding wardrobe. A new shirt? A new hat? Those quests took the top of my to-do list. Exploration and keys, dungeons, collections and the vault; they all offered new colors and styles for me to indulge my vanity. My pets and I just love the attention.

It was all so enchanting to wander across some realm I hadn't yet explored. I could go anywhere without the constant threat of being murdered by monsters a hundred levels higher than me. Even without that sense of danger it was still exhilirating. Sure, now I know the Realms like the back of my hand. It feels a bit like home.

On my first day playing I got called a grown-up for the first time in my life. I was worried that would be the tone of my experience. The big kid in the ball pit making things awkward for everyone else. Through the forums I found out that wasn't the case. My friend list was soon full of people of all ages just looking to have some fun. Would I still be in Free Realms if it didn't have such a wonderful community? I truly doubt it.

Hakuna matata, Free Realmers!

There are many reasons free realms is awesome. After looking at the jobs closer, I'd have to say the wizard looks pretty fun to play given all the abilities, though I only have one at level 5.

I can't wait for all the anticipated content to come, namely the good and evil paths. I think it will be interesting to see what comes of it. As mentioned before, soccer I believe will be really fun as well.

My coolest reward so far would probably be the monarch bow!

I'd also like to say congrats to the winners thus far and thank you zam for holding some cool contest. I just recently discovered you guys, but be sure I'll be back again.

He woke up early, bright morning sun beaming in through his windows. He walks out to get his mail, taking in the fresh air breeze coming in off the water. Harper spent most of his life in Seaside. Born in Snowhill, the draw of hot weather and surfing was too much for him as a lad.

Harper sits down to some breakfast, his lovelable black lab, Lil' Chocolate right next to him, and begins sorting through his mail. He was bound and determined for this to be a great day, not even bills could keep him down.

With all the usual morning business out of the way, he sets off out into the world. Surfing is his passion in life, but it still costs money, so hes turned to doing odds and ends jobs for anyone willing to hire him. This kind of "jack of all trades" lifestyle has served him well, keeping his mind and body fully tuned and extremely well fit. Which of course, to him, just means hes able to do things on a board noone else could dream of. To the rest of the world, it meant if you had a contract you needed filled, Harper is the guy to call. Skilled with bow and axe, he also has a reputation as an excellent spellcaster and can mend his own wounds with his skills at First Aid.

Whenever the waves arent breaking just right, he also finds that wrecking cars in the Demolition Derby is a great way to work out some frustration. More advanced at crashing cars than racing them, he never turns down a challenge. And if all these jobs werent enough for a young man, seeking to find himself on the open water, he always feels at home in a kitchen and slaving over an anvil.

Harper is a true "renaissance man". His one and only lifes ambition is a never-ending thirst for knowledge, and he lives close to his motto, "Its my world, Ill do what i want to do!"
