For Tuesday:

I didn't realize we are to post each day, so if I am misunderstanding please ignore my ramblings! Free Realms is the first MMORPG we've gotten into, so I really like the fact that you can choose to interact with others or not--depending on your mood. (Although I find it difficult to respond while I'm in a minigame and someone wants to talk--I get too focused on what I am doing to pay attention to the chat box!) It is very similar to offline games my girls have from Pony club, so FR seems to be the perfect transition to a more interactive environment as they get old enough. All of my non-member jobs are at level 20 except the drivers, which I am working on now. And since I only need three items to complete ALL the collections, I cannot wait till they open the new desert land for a little variety! One question--has anyone actually seen Chatdy in the realms? Did they even make his character, or is he just for marketing purposes? I am surprised they haven't done some sort of event online with him yet. Anyway, good luck to everyone in the contest!!

Hmm, didn't play much yesterday. I'm still waiting for the Racing difficulty to be dialed down a bit for us older folks. Having fun working on my Racing/Derby collections tho.

For Tuesday

Hi! I'm Kaden Skycliff, and my home is Server 7.

My Free Realms obsession is definately PETS! I love the little critters, and I have eight of them! I have six dogs, and two cats. My favorites are my pirate pug, Captain Mojo, and my ninja toyger, Ace. my favorite job is a tie between medic and adventurer. Both were the first jobs I ever leveled to level twenty. While I love the relaxing aspect of exploring, I also have a personal attachment with medic since it has been my dream to be a military medic since I was a kid.

As for my outfit, I have become so known for my panda mask that I actually get yelled at when I dont wear it. My typical outfit is usually my panda mask with my purple shirt, my snowhill defender pants and backpack, my rocker shoes, and my snowy floppy fish. Its both oddly fashionably, yet still very wacky!

Today, I am enjoying FR in a different way. Yesterday was about me, my collections, my quests, leveling up my second character. Today, I am playing with my grandson. He is working on the 2 driving games, which I can't do at all, but it is fun to watch over his shoulder and see how the races look. Later we will switch to other jobs and level up his character. FR can be a different game from day to day! How cool is that. :)

I too am looking forward to new areas since my main character is lvl 20 in all but the driving games and TCG. Wonder if the new lands will come before my second character is maxed????

TCG can be so much fun! The grandson got an ice cream sandwich card this morning to turn him into a penguin. You would have thought he won the lottery! Such pure joy!

Now we are off to play the tower defense games, and win new clothes. Love those outfits!

Have a good day everyone, I will check in later to see what you all have to say on day 2.

Tuesday-

I've been playing FreeRealms since Beta. I really enjoying playing because its a great way to relax after raiding on EQ2. The one thing I'm obessed with is doing quests. In both games I love to see my completed quest number going up.

My favorite job is a toss up between the Archer and the Wizard. Not really sure why these are my favorite but I seem to have the most fun when playing them. Although I have tried to keep all my combat classes close to the same levels.

My favorite pet would have to be my only pet. Which is the Black Lab, that I named Razzmatazz. When I actually buy a pet I'm going to buy my other favorite. Which is a cat from the Stillwater Crossing Adoption Center, named Pooky. I think this cat is soo cute. I'd also buy her a dragon suit. :-}

I really enjoy playing the TCG. I love the art work on the cards. One of my favorite pieces of art is the Baby Wolf Fang eating the bone. If he was real I'd take him as a pet. :-} The game was pretty easy to figure out, also.

Well I think that wraps things up. I enjoy the game very much. I play Drucilla, a human, on Sever 10. I'm hoping that they make Dwarfs a playable race, so I can have my other favorite character. Dirt the Dwarf

where do i start? well when i first saw freerealms at the soe fanfair '08 i was saying to myself what the heck is this?? but then during the end of the presintation i was like hmmm this looks worth playing. ( one year later ) i log into the beta to see a full colorful 3D world with many quests to do. i also met some awsome people during the beta that are still my friends in game =). i like freerealms for the coummunity i can always socialize with my friends and there is always some cool minigame to do or try. but i think i mostly like freerealms for the guilds ( glad they came out with them ) i would have probelly quit the game but since i found the best guildies ( most of them ) i was pretty lucky and happy. i can also come to freerealms to escape the everyday and i always seem to be in a better mood when i play freerealms unlike other games where you ussally log into a world where you know you have to do stuff that day if you want to get something cool in the furture ( ex. WOW dailys) freerealms you just come on and do whatever you feel like doing and have fun with it. i am so glad SOE made this game i find it to beat out all others for its freedom type style. *hopes to be here till the very end of FR hopefully not until 20 or more years*

What did I do on Monday in FR?

I stood around in game and had my dog, ultra slappy, dig up treasure!

I also put out some trade offers in the tcg and played a few rounds of the racing game- seaside track!

Cool deal. I've been all over town searching for the comic.. with zero luck! Got my fingers crossed!!

Started playing FR after seeing it on a commercial while watching iCarly. Looked cool, so I tried it. Love the little quirks of the game. It's playful nature, and simple game play.

Love the adventurer job! Running around, finding new mountains to scale and leap off of.. figuring out shortcuts across the map. It's a big world, with so much to do! Cow tip one day, chase deer the next! Bonk some silly yetis on the head the make a little something for dessert (MMM starnut sundae anyone?)

Slipping away into Scared Grove to chill out, get my groove on, and knock out some baddies really brightens up the worst of days!

I'm still liking the game on Tuesday, just as much as Monday :). I'm enjoying parts of the new racing changes, although I've hit a difficulty wall on both racing and demolition derby. They've got potential once they're tweaked a little more.

I've never tried mmo/mmorp's before, just single player games and things like there.com. I've been here since early in the beta. I'm usually a loner, and I like how FR is set up to be fun both for groups and loners.

I really like the trading card game, even though I'm not that great at it. I love collecting d'sparklies in adventurer (even more now that I have Rudolfo Kicks!). My favorite combat class is archer, and I really don't care for the chef or miner crafting (I do like the matching games though). I may get interested in racing if I can get used to it.

I really like the communities that are springing up around FR; like this one. It's good to see so many people helping each other without the heavy competition vibes some games seem to cultivate.

Free Realms has been an obsession of mine since I was accepted into the beta. To be specific, kart racing has been an obsession of mine. I enjoy both the challenge, and the playful style in which it was implemented. My favorite thing to do is race other people. I'm not sure if you'd consider them a reward, but I thought the party packs were pretty darn cool. Not much beats morphing your character into a goat, lol. That's another great thing about Free Realms, it embraces the silliness of it all.

Tuesday's Entry

Oh, sure ... now I have to think of something to say every day? LOL

I have been working on my collections lately ... my dogs and I have been digging up treasure chests left and right. The chests with springs in them are, of course, the ones I would prefer ... but they're all good ... other collection items, clothing, pet clothing ... they all work for me!

I do have 2 dogs now ... Gizmo, the Pug that I mentioned yesterday ... and Maggie, who was originally named Echo. Maggie has a couple of VR clothing items on ... the Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses ... and she looks all prepared for the "dog days of summer."

I spent all day Monday working on getting my Demolition Derby Job to level 20 and finished the collections for that job to get a nice skull helmet. Took forever but I'm glad I did it.

Today I'm just hanging out on the beach with friends and our pets. Good times.

Cyrano Dai is my primary in Free Realms.

As I described yesterday, I have been diversifying my jobs. Today I want to talk about quests.

My typical habit is to enter a village or town, and simply walk around picking up all the quests that I can. Often they will overlap, particularly on combat quests, so then I can go into, say, Vale of the Ancients, and resolve 3-4 quests at one time.

One of my favorite quest series so far was Chapter 1, which results in being made an honorary Royal Guard, and getting a decent looking tabard to wear. As an adventurer, I now wear this tabard all the time, because who am I to gainsay the Queen's desires. I would have loved to be able to go back and chat with Darkthorne and gain her approval as well, since it was she who had the foresight to anticipate the danger to the realm and took the steps to ensure its continuance.

Mining and searching for relics has recently become an obsession of mine. I can't walk by a "rich vein" without stopping to chip at it (thar's Gold in 'dem hills!). Ramirez in Blackspore shares a common interest in relics, and I always find that dropping by and digging for relics is profitable.

I particularly love the little quest where you get the two "old people" together by jumping down a well. My that was a surprise. I tried to jump down the windmill shaft near the farm south of Snowhill, but alas was unsucessful.

Have you done any person to person races? Getting a couple folks together who all have the same speed and racing from Darkthorne's throne room to the Abandoned Dojo (no teleporting!) is great fun.

I'm the guild leader of Harvesters, and though our membership hasn't taken off yet (in fact, we seem to be swamped in ninja guilds), I look forward to slowly increasing the membership over time as I find kindred spirits.

Until such time,

Cyrano Dai

A brand new day, and now its time to dote on my favorite addiction :)

Free Realms breaks the mold of other MMOs. Its not about grinding levels or farming for the uberest gear. Theres no raiding or end-game. Its the first game that lets you relax, take it casual, and enjoy the journey. Theres plenty of quests to keep you busy, plenty of dungeons to explore, and you can always fill in your time looking behind every tree or under every rock for that elusive rare collection piece you need.

If combat isnt your thing, theres minigames galore. From sorting mail, harvesting, and digging for relics to playing a simple game of chess or checkers, theres something for everyone. The tower defense games come in a variety of skill levels and they all pose different challenges.

And of course, who can forget the pets. Every good game should allow you to own your own pet. I have 5 cats in real life, im a pet lover to the very core. And not only do you get an adorable companion to follow you around, but its fully interactive too. Wash it, feed it or just give it a pet. And he can reward you with a run speed buff, and of course treasure. :) Who doesnt like treasure??

Ah the smell of a Terrific Tuesday, I just finished leveling up my Brawler today. That brings me to 4 out of 6 combat Jobs at the maximum level, with 8 Jobs total at level 20. Brawler was an interesting ride, everything was pretty close combat. I did notice that rock throw had a long range but a small area of target, still it was a great way to pull a single enemy away. Being unable to finish the brawler quest did not stop me from leveling it up.

I am to work next on Warrior, leaveing Wizard for last. I hear warrior is an Area of Effect class, and I would love to see how that works out with me. Wizard I still have no clue what it will be like, but I know for a fact I will find out while leveling up Warrior.

For each combat class so far I have Themes. Blue Archer with a Frosty Weapon, Purple Ninja with a Purple Lightsaber, Medic dressed like the Nurse characters from in game(Nurse Naia), and a Green Brawler with a a hammer spewing Green Sparks. I am working on pictures for each but for now I only show them in game. Maybe I can incorporate them all into my story.

Tuesday's entry.

I have been a hardcore gamer since I was 4. 20 years later I'm still playing hard! Last year I would look at my gaming focus and I would see mostly Teen and Mature rated games, such as SWG, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty, etc. However I do play Kingdom Hearts so I know the kid in me still lives on. That's where Free Realms comes in.

Free Realms is an escape for the kid in me, it's the kid in all of us that comes alive in the game. It's almost as if I entered the Gamers Neverland. The ability to pick up anywhere and play as anything I want is the biggest draw. The next greatest things to me are the visuals! The graphics, animations, and interactions are the best of any F2P game I've seen. Free Realms definitely delivered. The last thing that stands out ot me is the mini games. I love playing Pogo and ArmorGames, but being able to play Free Realms and perform mini games at the same time... It's a win win! I was huge into the SWG TCG, but once Free Realms came out, my time in the SWG TCG is almost 0.

My favorite job right now is Blacksmith. Hunting down the materials and smithing is a blast. I know once Soccer Star comes out later this year, I won't be able to stop playing! I like to stand outside the soccer stadium with my ghost dog in his cyborg outfit anticipating the new job!

The kid in me lives on in Free Realms.

As a young traveler and a dweller, I, Jackson Dryshore has been overwhelmed by the mystery powers of FR. With each unraveling day, new lives emerges around every corner.

So take a deep breath and step into a world where amazing is just the beginning.

Aww, I should've seen this yesterday!

I used to play EQ2. I played from launch day one until last month, when I had to cancel for the first time. When I played EQ2 there had been periods where I'd take a break for months at a time because when I'd log in I'd get a little overwhelmed. Knowing that you have to dedicate three hours to a game if you want to play one night made it hard for me to want to play.

So, I switched to Free Realms (still miss EQ2's housing though *tear*). I love that I can log in and play for a half hour at a time, if I want.

Also, in EQ2 I was a major altaholic and spent too much time leveling up seven different characters, so I love that I can have one character in Free Realms and just let her play every job.

I guess we're allowed to post once every day? If that's the case I'll have more to post tomorrow! =D

For Wednesday:

Kaden got his hands on some early birthday sation cash (Mah birfday is this Friday!) and went on a pet buying spree yesterday. Anyone that knows me knows I am a TAD obsessive when it comes to Free Realms pets. I refuse to just by one or two and then have them have a bunch of outfits. Nope, for every outfit I have, I have a seperate pet for it. This has resulted in, counting yesterday's new additions, a whopping 12 pets! I think I hold the record! I now have 7 dogs and 5 cats, each has their own individual outfit and personality and what theyre know for, and I love them all!

I also spent most of the morning yesterday training my warrior from level 4 to level 12. After finally getting both demo derby and racing to lebvel 20, I only have 4 more jobs to max out, 3 of which are combat and one is that blasted card duelist that I just cant seem to get a hang of!

My original character is a female Pixie named Marisol Bluesurf (hence my screen name here). She has several jobs maxed out at level 20: Adventurer, Brawler, Card Duelist, Chef, Pet Trainer, Postman, and Warrior. But there's also jobs I've barely even started ... that's one of the great things about this game! "It's your world" so you can do the jobs you want and totally ignore others if you want.

My alt is a female human named Kira Dreamchaser. I've been using her mainly to help Snowdonia with her Armor Picture Guide on the main forums. I created her before that, but hadn't been using her much ... so I started grinding dungeons to get the matching gear for each level and I found that I enjoy it ... the grinding isn't that bad, but I like the matching sets of armor ... plus it helps me level up a character that was basically on level 1 of everything.

Quite recently she has decided that her government had wolves in it, nasty vile people that want nothing more than to destroy the happy-go-lucky life that was Sacred Grove. It had show itself slowly over time and since no one would step up when she pleaded, she decided to take up arms. Dedicated to learning the arts of Archery, Wizardry, Medicine, and Stealth Rose Era was going to rebel against the evils in the system and try to save her home. She could not do this alone, what she fought for was freedom and prosperity. She would need the help of other citizens with the same will as hers, other Rebels with a cause. She sent out a call but few have listened, and still she ask for individuals with her ideals to band together and save Sacred Grove. She ask now, join <The Last Rebellion> and help save our home.

My kids and I love playing the TCG both online and in real life (I think that was the first job I maxed out), and since the starter pack comes with a month free I have been neglecting my account and spending most of my time online helping them lvl up and finish the quests they want done before the freebie time is up. Plus I have been having a hard time getting used to the driver controls in quest--I don't know about anyone else but my cars seem to react differently when I am in the lobby by myself vs. in an actual quest. Of course, if it was too easy we'd all be bored stiff! Thanx to those running this contest, and Congrats to those who have won so far!!! I am hoping to win this week too since, like alot of the rest of us on here, I cannot seem to find it where I live. Good luck all! Cya tommorrow!

I spent the majority of my day hanging out on the beach with my Pixel Junkies 'mates letting my dog (a pug named Mojo) find treasure for me. A rather lazy way to play, but very addicting and really fun when you have others to talk to and share your finds with. After getting Demolition Derby to level 20 I just couldn't stomach spending much time with Kart Racing. And I didn't really feel like running combat yesterday.

So far today I have put in a bit of Kart Racing and some beach time. My sister and her kids were over in the morning and I spent the afternoon with my daughter enjoying the nice warm day. She is about due for a nap now so I think I'll get in some Kart Racing once that happens.

Howdy all!

It is difficult for me to say what I prefer in FreeRealms. There are combat jobs I tend to choose over others, such as Wizard and Medic, and there are non-combat jobs I really enjoy doing, such as Miner and Blacksmith. I think what I prefer is the possibility to do so many things, or to do nothing at all and still enjoy my time! FreeRealms is such a refreshing environment! I've been playing games before and I would get bored fast. There was too much repetition in the tasks, or I would be limited to being only a Wizard or only a Warrior. But in FreeRealms, I can spend an hour collecting junk piles, wild flowers and pet chests, the next hour on mining, and then another hour in dungeons. There is so much choice! And I love the community. In many chat places or games I've been before, there was a lot of flaming and competition between players; it was all about who was the strongest or the most popular. I don't see this in FreeRealms. Oh and I really love having a pet that interacts so much with the environment. FreeRealms made me love dogs more! I am glad FreeRealms exists, it's a great place for children and adults.

I've been playing since right after it went public. I wish that I had known about this earlier though.

I've done over 900 quests and have gotten lvl 20 in all but warrior, medic, and demo driver. I love my dog Bear and the only real gripe I have is that when you have the speedy shoes, your pet is so slow that he's practically useless.

I love the guilds though. The insiders guild has been the real thing that's kept this game from getting too boring.

That's all for now. No comic in this little town so I hope that I can win one. :)

peace,
Brad

Free Realms has easily become an obsession. It allows you the diversity that no other MMO has been able to match. Any job, any time with no pressure on leveling. Collections gallore, minigames to play and a great community of people to talk with.

Collections are addictive. I run all over the world, getting every junkpile, flower and pile of leaves I can manage.

As for jobs, there isnt anything there to dislike. Ive been doing Medic and Archer the last couple of days. Archer, like Wizard is a ranged class. Its great to be able to see your enemies fall before they can even reach you.

Theres only one rule in Free Realms, "Its YOUR world, do what YOU want to do".

At one time I have four pages of active quests. Bergram Stumpfinger was a quest that was on the list that I couldn't complete. Needed to reach level 20 Ninja and use the Shadow Minion to finally beat him. Now, The Queen's Last Hope is the quest I can't beat. Also, since the holiday quests are over will I ever run into Teaspoon Tarisa to complete the Cook-off Contest?

Hey JustinTru, if you want any help, just look me up. Same character name as here.
I know that the queen's last hope is about in the same level as Mudshell for the hardest battle ever. Those little snapping turtles never seem to do the trick. lol

I am a pixie that I named after my newborn niece. Ever. Although I do enjoy collecting comics, because of financial and employment situations, I will not be able to purchase any of these comics and saw this and thought, why not. I also enjoy playing this game alot. I love changing into all the outfits, and just became a member to do a TCG Wild Card Tournament. I don't think I'll be able to stay a member for long, but that won't keep me from playing. I got a puppy, who is my lady and a few unique outfits for her, as well as many sweaters and collars. I am hoping I am able to get all the keys to get the green outfit I've seen. I like green. I bought the military hat and love it!! I use my tickets hoping to get more outfits. I like changing my adventure outfit depending on my location. I am enjoying the racing update although I am at a standstill on both jobs. I didn't enjoy it at all till recently. I can't wait for more cool stuff. I enjoy the card game the most, although I want to collect all the cards, and hope I am able to one day. Thanks for such a great site. This site is done very well and has helped.

well i have already touched on my addiction to collections. and my love for combat jobs. but theres still even more that Free Realms can offer.

for those that like to craft, cooking can be a ton of fun. like mining, theres two different minigames involved. you can play a bejeweled-style game to harvest crops (ore for mining), then, what i think is the real fun, you get to play another game to actually do the crafting. it involves smashing, cutting, stirring, pouring, all kinds of wonderful things.

and if none of that suits you, theres even a TCG. thats Trading Card Game for those that dont know :) you can play online, or theres even a physical deck you can play with friends and family in real life! it provides quite a challenge, and for me, even more fun is trying to collect all the cards. of course, you already know im a huge collector :)

so really, theres something for everyone. from combat to cooking, from card games to chess. there really isnt any reason to play any other game.

Oops, I missed Wednesday. =X

For Thursday:

I was excited for Free Realms ever since I first heard of it at Fan Faire, way before it came out. I spent months looking for info on the beta and I'd check news pages trying to find more new info on it at least once a week. (Ok, so I was *really* excited.)
When beta finally rolled around I signed up asap (and got a handful of friends to sign up too). Waiting for that beta invite was excruciating!

When I finally got into beta I ran around doing quests like crazy and reporting all the bugs I found (which were surprisingly few).
