I've been trying to get on more, but Ritskua has been playing on S3 since the poll was open. I've even gotten 2 of my EQ2 guildies to play FR with us since they have little ones and this game is perfect for them to play.

Is there any way to tell if someone is online, if they aren't already on your friends list? I've tried sending people whispers or friend requests, but it gives no feedback whether or not they are actually there to receive them.
I have to say that, while I like this game a lot, the communication interface is horrible. I really hope they get clubs up and running soon and do something to make it easier to contact people in game.

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone else get random friend requests in-game? I have this habit I picked up from 5 years of playing Final Fantasy XI that I won't befriend anybody that doesn't at least talk to me first.

I think many of those random requests are by accident. I notice I get them if I am around a npc or click able item. I have opened someone's options by accident when clicking a npc. I just close the option and try again. I think some people just click anything to get rid of the window, hence a random friend invite.
