When I can't install a game from Google Chrome, or Firefox (with all my addons turned off) there is something seriously wrong.

I had to use IE to install this game because it's all tied in to the website, not the best move IMO. Wonky installs only serve to set my expectations, and my first impressions, to "abysmal." So, they've already got a near vertical climb in order to impress me with this game.

Here's hoping.

When I wiped the Beta Install (total uninstall and folders wiped), and tried to install the game again (The 'Final' Non-Beta) (with Firefox it was crash city for about an hour (just about gave up) then I tried IE6 and at least got through the tutorials. Did a few quests (crash Crash). Then went back to Firefox, after about another 10 or 15 crashes loading stuff it seemed to settle down.

Been working ok since then, after A LOT of pain..
Firefox / Windows XP Professional SP2

I got it working, it runs well through Chrome and FireFox for me. It does get a little choppy when run in a window, but I can handle that. My main gripe was the fact that I was forced to use a browser I despise in order to install the game.

Other than that, it's a surprisingly good game, I'm impressed. ****, I may even subscribe seeing as it's only 5$ a month. Reminds me of puzzle pirates, with less suckage.

I didn't wipe anything from my Beta test, and my update (about 8 mgs) took about 15 seconds in Firefox...
Alpha is good, but Beta is better! Beta test name: Kimiko Weaselrune.

I installed this morning from the latest version of Firefox (after allowing everything in Noscript), and it went without a hitch and didn't take long either.

FFXIV - Neo Geo (formerly Droxy Durango)
FFXI - Brit *Manly man on the Fairy server*
{Retired for good in 2010 after the server transfer and forced name change)

I haven't had any trouble installing via Firefox through either an XP or Vista Ultimate system.

I'm curious if an anti virus program or Internet safety tool could be interfering with the process.

I didn't have any trouble with it either, when running Firefox.

Same here, Firefox 3.0.8 and Flash 10 on Windows 7 and no issues whatsoever.
