Any speculation on when we'll go live tomorrow? Personally, I foresee them running into problems with the big patch which will make them push it back to Wednesday. What do you guys think?
I haven't seen anything so far. Considering the patch on Thursday it wouldn't be surprising if they did. Considering how unique the MMO is though, I've got a strong feeling though that they'll want to stick to the launch date.

Yeah, though I'm expecting a launch delay, I also agree with you in that they really want to stick with what they've set. I guess it's hard for an MMO that's free to have a bad launch, but I am a little worried.
With FR it's not so much that it's on an F2P business model, but that it breaks away from the MMO mold. I'm hoping it does well not only because I enjoy it, but because hopefully it will spawn more games like it.
The MMO market has been pretty stagnant. Everyone builds games based on the old MUD models, Dungeons and Dragons rules, or just strait up try to copy WoW. It'd be nice to see something truly original be successful.

Haven't seen anything for certain, I think Pex said "when it's ready" or something there-abouts. :) My guess, and I'm just basing it off of big patches etc from other SOE games/expansion launches, it'll likely be late evening for EST if we're lucky, and if not, sometime Wednesday.
I'm sure the devs are working their butts off coding and testing today. Hopefully things will go smoothly for them and it will open up in the morning!

Same here! I love the fact that it's different!
As for release date/time - I've seen some updates take 5 minutes instead of 2 hours, and some get delayed for up to a day, but I've yet to see one take longer than they said it would (or at least not by much.. Mm, maybe I just wasn't paying attention lol) but only time will tell. They never released a time for the game to come back up though, so as long as they make it by 11:59:59 PM PDT tomorrow it'll still be on time for release :P

Don't wait up for a midnight release because launching at midnight PDT was never the plan! If all goes really well we'd like to shoot for mid to late morning, but it could easily be anytime after that. As with our regular builds we have a number of checks and safeguards built in that can stop the process if something pops up. We will bring the servers back online when all of those checks are, well, checked.

I use the Eclipse II, my only problems with it is that frequently used keys wear off, my h doesn't work sometimes, and n and e tend to stick occasionally. ;)
Might go with el-cheapo keyboard again next time, but this one is nice because there's no extra buttons that most keyboards have now.
