Kinda bummed out... ie. Realm mergers and character names..Follow

Hello all.

I actually bought the CE edition of the game to get the head start thing in order to get my names saved so when I did play I would have the names I wanted... and I had 18 characters named within 15min of the head start starting... 9 Order and 9 Destruction.

So... I paid for several months of WAR while not even logging on and didn't realize they merged my Order core server (which was high population at the time) with another and now my Order characters are on Realm Vortex... and 8 of my 9 names are taken... oh sure I could play with the name I wanted with Xs at the end (example: Pentx and Omenxxxx), but I wanted my names....

What hurts me the most is that someone else is using Pent, and that is like my staple to any MMO I play... so I guess I'll have to ditch Vortex and try to get onto a different realm.

I am afraid to even look at the Destruction realm...

So I am guessing there is nothing that I can do to get my names back is there...

Oh... and also... is there someplace (website) I can go to see if a name is taken without going to each realm and trying my name out AFTER I make a character? Because evidently "Pent" is a widely used name now... this makes me a very sad Pent.

Sent a message to the Support email on the Warhammer site and got a reply basically saying that they only deal with technical and billing questions... and I should contact a CSR in-game for my query...

So I make an appeal (ticket) to a CSR about the situation and haven't heard from a CSR for over 24 hours...

Sad thing is that 8 of my 9 Order characters have the Xs at the end of their name on the character select screen, and out of those 8 only 3 of them are actually taken and being used for characters... the other 5 are probably sitting on the character select screen never been played... BUT... 1 of the 3 is my name I use all the time... "Pent" (but the character that has it is only L.2)


Has anyone ever made an appeal to a CSR and had to log off before they could answer back? Do they email you? Do the in-game mail you? I cant stay logged in 24 hours a day.... or I would... trust me.

I personally don't see a problem with them giving me my names back considering that they should be able to check the time and see who made the characters first... I would be willing to bet it was me... since I had all 18 of my guys (9 and 9) named within the first 10-15min of the head start servers going live...

I did petition a CSR about it about the same time I actually posted the send post in the thread. Their response was basically.... "You didn't keep your account active and lost a name when servers merged? I am sorry we can not give you any of your names back." Paraphrased, of course.

I am the type of person who chooses a name and will not play a game if my name somehow gets changed and can not get ANY name I try. I was unable to rename 90% of my characters on the realms i wanted to play on so I was only subscriber til that month ran out.

I think it is funny how I can get most names I want on other games when they have a lot more people on each server than what WAR has... and I am not just talking about WoW.

What hurt the most is that I had those names within minutes of the game going 'live' during the preoder headstart...
