Why is it when I installed WAR it never made a start menu shortcut? Hell, it didn't even make a desktop shortcut. I tried pinning it to my start menu and making a desktop shortcut myself, but for some reason it refuses to run from those. I have to go into my hard drive and find the WARPATCH file itself. Anyone know what went wrong here?

If you're using Vista you might actually have to look in the "games" folder. I installed WAR on my wife's computer and had the exact same problem. Looked in that folder and there it was.

If it's Vista than it's probably just like Real said. I had that problem with AoC maybe.. Couldn't find an icon anywhere. Wasn't until later I stumbled along the games menu.
i heard about this at some point, something about some @#%^ed files on teh disc, not sure of the fix bu there is one if you lookm around i think, might even be an official fix kicking around.
try this, and hopefully it works
