Question on TalismansFollow

I have a r9 talisman that gives +7 or so spiritual resistance and when trying to place it in a talisman slot it tells me the item cannot go there... any particular reason why or am i doing something wrong?

Interesting thing about talismans:

You have to be the right rank to use the talisman but your equipment must ALSO be AT LEAST the rank of the talisman to use it.

I.E. A rank 9 talisman that adds 2 intelligence must be placed in a rank 9 item or higher.
