Game stop pre-ordersFollow

I had a really good experience, but then I have a good gamer geek working for the one I go to.
The key is to find that one enthusiatic know it all and make them your friend. They will hook you up.
For your Game Stop, I would suggest printing out the information on the Warhammer Online site and taking it and SHOWING them...or hope for that one enthusiatic gamer geek to show up and help you.

I have to say my experience was somewhat simular. I pre-ordered the collectors edition from my local gamestop the day after it was announced as I figured it was the only way to really guarentee a spot in beta. I gladly paid my $80 and waited all summer. Once the open beta was announced and how it worked I called the Gamestop I pre-ordered from to get the details on how they were handling it. They said at the time they weren't sure but usually they received the information shortly before.

So I waited, paid attention to the news on the official site, never hearing anything from Gamestop. I happened to call again, asking about how the codes were being handled and I was given a run around. I called on Friday night and was told to call Sat morning. Called sat morning and was told to call Sat afternoon and speak with the manager.

I called later on that day, asked for the person I was told to ask for and he told me they had no beta codes that they were all given out. I'm sitting here thinking I was probably the first person to pre-order this game from this place and I should have been the first person they called with my CE beta keys. So after politely chewing this guy a new one he came up with a beta key at another store and they were going to give me one even though both were accounted for, meaning by me taking the box I was shafting someone else. Not fair to me, not fair to the person who got shafted.

Luckily I was able to get a beta key and enjoy open beta. It WAS NOT however a CE key which I should have received. And in the process screwing someone else out of their key. NOT A GOOD JOB GAME STOP. I never went to Game Stop for anything other than pre-orders. I am no longer going to go there ever, any game stop, any where, for any reason. These stores are nothing but pawn shops that only do whats best to get money in thier pocket, not in the interest of their customers. I hope the manager's buddy is enjoying my key that I should have received and never did.

I've called out to work today. It's gonna be a day of war!
