A little over two weeks ago I asked what class and race people planned to be. Now that Open Beta has ended and official launch is just days away (not to mention CE and SE Head Starts beginning in less than 9 hours and two days respectively), many of us have had the chance to test the classes and races and have seen a little bit of what is in store for us upon release. Have any of you changed your minds? If anything, it's cemented my decision!

Closed Beta, crowded and lag-ridden Preview Weekends, Open Beta and unintentional bugs aside (broken pet AI, thank God they fixed you!), it's been a pretty fun ride. I can't wait to see how launch fares and how far the game will take us afterward.

Very few, if any launches go perfectly, but here's to hoping WAR goes as smoothly as possible. Here's to hoping that those who have pre-ordered and paid for their boxes receive them on time. Here's to hoping that the many people who are getting the game out of simple curiosity like what they see and stay, helping to make it a fun and interesting MMO community. And here's to hoping we all have fun with a game that we've all been waiting for, some of us for years.

Not everyone will like the game, and not everyone will even stick out the first month. That's just how MMOs go. With so many out there for people to choose from, it's not that easy a market to break into. People who were excited will see their interest wane and others who were only mildly curious will discover a new interest.

So let's all keep helping and supporting each other in-game and on the forums, and let's just see where this one takes us, shall we?

QFT, although you didn't actually reveal what class you had decided on yourself...

I did end up really liking the goblin shaman. It is the only Destruction class that appeals to me at this time. My friends want to roll on a rp-open server so the chances of encountering a population imbalance are much higher (just not many of that server type). If Destruction is much larger than Order I will play an archmage. I'd rather be the underdog in an imbalanced world if it comes to that, plus Shamans seem to be one of the most common classes through open beta.

Unless they add way more options to the high elf models I'll have to roll a female character though, since I just don't like the current options for the male.

Shadow Warrior remains my plan B... but that only works if my friends and I end up Order.

Oops. My choice was and still is Squig Herder, with a secondary of Witch Hunter (currently. As always it's subject to change). My server choice is the only thing that's really changed, since the initial choice (Red Eye Mountain) was too full Destruction-side and while I could create and get my names on it, I didn't feel like waiting 45+ minutes in the queue. I'm on Iron Rock instead now. Sylvania for Order.

I have a High Elf White Lion, but I'm not fond at all of the facial options for either gender :( I don't see myself playing her very much, but I'm loving the goblins anyway, so it's not really going to matter much.

I still plan on playing SW. It isn't a great 1vs1 job, but i still liked it.

It's all about what you enjoy doing.

I personally suck at PvP. I don't spend hours making sure I've got the best build for it, I don't think about it, and I definitely don't obsess over it. Honestly, half the time I don't give it much thought. If it happens, it happens, and I'll deal with it when it does is pretty much how I go about things XD;

Yeah, i'm not PvP orientated. I like it here and there (i loved doing Ballista when ever i could) but i'm more about the group battles, and storyline q1uests. I always make it a point to play a job that i enjoy playing, no matter how many times i die lol.
