Well last night I decided to go explore the main city. I seen a instance portal thing, of course I entered it lol. There were same level champions inside. So I'm thinking that'll be the 1st instance. It was called the Sewers I think.
Anway, I wandered all over that castle city. Seen a Bright Wizard section, but nothing to do inside. I also got to report a Art bug from a wizard on the very top floor lol.
So what other than, the AH and Bank, can there be to do in there? I mean there's universal class trainers all over the place, so unlike WoW they can't split the class trainers all over the city for certian classes. Same with crafts, only two atm, so really no need for crafting buildings.
In the castle, I managed to die once because I talked to some girl and she said "come over here" and poof 10 lv 36 'deadly' mobs poped around me. Yeah 1 shotted my clothie butt lol. Other than that, I completed one quest where I just talked to people in the Inn and jail place. I don't see a lot that will be in major cities.
Anyone have any suggestions what, if anything, will be added to the cities?
*edit* Oh I'll make a suggestion.... FOOD STORE lol. A nice Out of combat GNC would help out a lot. My preorder camping tent is a hour cooldown timer, so that's not quite enough lol.

I haven't been there, but I've read of many public quests ... RvR objective ... PvE instances ... etc... all originating in the city.
Ah RvR would make sense. I ran by a few "Thrall" types in there. They're called "Lord", they have 4 or 5 skulls below the circle when you click on him. I'd bet that would be one hella tough fight... I know I can't solo 'Easy' 'champion' /sigh.

theres quests all over, plus theres just stuff that are fun to see, such as gotrek and felix in teh bar, the massive great unclean one from the one PQ, i even entered a random house when i heard an npc couple fighting over money.
I didn't even think about it when I went to the Chaos city. It just made sense that a city on the edge of time and reason would be huge to me. Heh, I guess I'm too much of a fanboy for some speculation/observations.
I am still iffy on the details about what happens when an opposing faction "wins" and your city is "lost". Can anyone quickly fill me in?

What rank were you? I believe many of the quests in Altdorf don't unlock until your rank 20. Once you do hit 20, you can also purchase a mount and a last name from the relecant NPC's. Also, the city is only rank 1 itself, so much of the content is still locked. As we rank up our capitals more things become available to you.

While some of the details would undoubtably be covered by the Elder NDA, I'm not an Elder tester so anything I know isn't.
There was an article on it about a month ago, I can't seem to find the link, so heres what I remember.
In order for your city to be taken, you have to lose a series of instanced 48v48 RvR battles in the city itself. I'm not sure on how many victories by the opposing realm it takes for you to lose.
Once they have control, they have 2 hours to explore, kill the king, complete the PvE content that is now unlocked for them. After that time, your realm can attempt to reclaim the city via the 48v48 RvR battles again.
While your city is under opposing realm control, you still have access to it, but only certain areas I believe. There is a black market located somewhere that still has vendors, bu the prices for things are greatly inflated.

I think Mythic actually talked about it somewhere before, but I just forgot or wasn't paying attention.
