The Fifth Star comes to WarFollow

TFS will be continuing in Warhammer here in the next few weeks.

For those of you that don't know. The Fifth Star started out as an Allakhazam Guild in WoW. Two and a half years later it's the oldest Guild on the server. We've developed a lot of really close online gaming friends in that time and hope to continue that into Warhammer.

I'm looking to add new players from this forum as we move forward. We've already been gathering people from our own WoW Guild.

I know a few discussions about an Allah guild has been proposed before, but I thought start getting the ball moving in earnest.

I'm more than interested in joining that guild, and making it as successful as possible!

Indeed, hopefully you can have one on Destruction..... I would so like to play a shaman, but if forced I will roll an archmage! Gotta love the gameplay style.

Well all that depends on how many people we pick up here.

But at least to get things rolling:

We are leaning Destruction which will not be finalized until everyone gets a chance to mess around in Open Beta. In the same matter, we're currently interested in Open Rules Servers (we were on a PvP Server in WoW).

We currently have Forums and Vent set up. We're at our WoW website currently (which I manage) and if the name changes I'll get the new domain set up.

Leadership info. Is currently Tyr and myself until we can get membership finalized and then we'll recast leadership from all players. 4 officers plus Guild Leader is how we started in WoW but that can change based on in game experience (For instance Class Leaders were added after we hit the level Cap in WoW). We're only leading atm because we manage the forum. We'd like to open up that opportunity to someone else as we lead the WoW incarnation of TFS.

Guild Meetings will be forum based or Ventrillo based as necessary. We prefer to keep as much in-game as possible while using the Forum as an additional resource for out of game discussion and organization.

And for what it's worth, while I'm pretty confident Jord will want to 'lone wolf' this with his old buddies, I'd rather like if we could select the same server has he does, that way even if we're not in the same guild, being on the same server, we'll be able to relate easier.

Makes a stronger forum community all around.

Our website is thefifthstar.org

You have to register to get in. You can PM me here if you register and I'll add you in.

My main goal is to get another Allakhazam guild going as we had so much fun with it in Warcraft.

It's probably best for the time being to post additional questions and such here. That way everyone can see them.

Unfortunately I'll be rolling with my own guild, but I'd still like to looking playing on the same server as TFS. Currently my guild's has similar server goals, with the addition of being high population. Once TFS has made a final server decision would you mind making a post here or sending me a pm about your choice?

Might as well make it the core of the new TFS Smiley: wink

Yeah, I was just harassing an AFK Ty (wonderfully fun) about not being able to join. Just the posts here make me want to pull out my eyes with those corn cob holder thingies. :o

I'm looking at 4 guilds right now, where about 12 RL friends can hang out and have fun together! Unfortunately, half of them would murder me if I suggested TFS :o

Lol Why would they murder you for suggesting it?

I don't really care if it's the TFS or Generic Allah guild, I just know how much fun it was to pull a bunch of the community here together and go. You get your friends, you get a mix of new people, and then after a while you can pull more people from the server.

I'm merely trying to get the ball rolling and get some people together for WAR.

Looking forward to being part of TFS again. I remember way back when signing the original guild sign up so we could get our guild status on WoW.

Current votes seem to favour Abhorash for the server, but we don't know yet if that one will even be available at launch or what ruleset it will have.
Core Ruleset sounds good. Destruction sounds good.
At the very least, all rolling on the same server sounds good.

I'm nervous about picking any server that starts with A and is the first in the list.

Archimonde was pretty much down forever when WoW launched for those same reasons.

I have to say I'm somewhat surprised... why would they?

Are they afraid of being in a guild with competent leadership that are adaptable and understand that people have life outside the game and have a track record of being pretty awesome for longevity/performance?

I'm seriously trying to figure someone we pissed off over the years here... not sure who. If it's any concern (since it might be to some Asylum go-er :P) I most likely won't be the GM :P.

You quitting 2 weeks after the original TFS was formed ;p is water under the bridge Allegory.

You guys do all understand that WAR is about well... War... the bigger the guild, the more fun it will be. Creating half a dozen small guild on the server certainly is better then all playing on different server, but ultimately, it's not a really good 'strategy'.

Yes. I understand that one guild would be more cohesive than several smaller guilds, but I'm really not in a situation to abandon ship. My RL friends and I created our guild back in December of 2007, long before I knew TFS was planning on playing WAR. We also have 40+ members counting on us now.

I'm strongly in favor of rolling on the same server as TFS, and I would completely support cooperation between the two of us.

I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but that is the situation right now.

I will have to see how the difference between the Core realms and the Open realms relate to my playstyle first.

I always seem to jump onto the PvE realms on other games, so I am unsure if Open will be right for me... even with the chicken thing.

Plus, I have always been a "lone wolf" in some other MMOs and have never been in a guild with more than 50 members (counting alts) in it.

I would be looking for a casual, family-oriented, no "I am cool, because I know curse words" people type of guild.

Plus... I think the only TFS guild I was in was on LotRO and I never even play that, so none of you would even know me.

I would be as unnoticable/un-noteworthy as my post here.

Heh, well, I was kinda keen on Todbringer (because it's, you know, DEATH bringer...makes me think of Totmacher by :wumpscut:). But then, I'm kinda obsessed with T names.

So you guys are planning on rolling on an Open ruleset server? If so I'd have to say I'm interested.

Currently the group I'm planning on starting the game with is planning on going Destruction on a core ruleset server, but I have more interest in open ruleset since I've always played WoW on a PvP servers. Plus I like the randomness it provides. The lakes are always fun, but it sometimes I like the smaller scale stuff and I want to have my sorceress to have some 1 on 1 encounters.

Would be awesome if we could get one main "Zam" server that both order and destruction members are on. Of course if it was open you'd have to make a decision on which side you want to be on, but I could imagine it would be fun. Could even schedule guild conflicts with one another.

By the way is there any order people on guilds on these forums yet? Personally looking at destro but wouldn't mind going order, especially a community one with a lot of members to rival the competition.

Well, the TFS me and Bealnic (and a few others who don't play now) started is still alive on WoW today after over 2 years, we managed to raid Molten Core in the pre-xpac game and get all the way to Illidan in TBC.

We only ever raided 9 hours a week (3 times for 3 hours), didn't ask for specific specs and always had the moto that we wanted to see content at our own rate and speed, that we wouldn't have a 'race' mentality and that we'd understand IRL would always come first.

I guess it speaks volume that we got this far with this mentality and that ultimately, what tore the guild apart in recent days is that many of our core raiders left because they felt we weren't 'hardcore' enough. All the drama this created has burned me out on WoW tbh, and I'm looking forward to a change of scenery :)

I think we're going to have to wait until the test servers come back up in a few days. I want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to play in game and mess around.

After that we should be able to narrow down to a Faction and a Server Rule set. Once we get that down we'll just have to decide on a server.

So right now, spread the word. Gather friends and people who'd like to play with us as the Allakhazam community.

Hello! First time poster for the allakhazam forums. I'm looking for a destruction guild (possibly order) that is somewhat established and organized. I did the WoW raiding thing and whatnot but I was wondering if everyone was planning on playing on the same open beta server and if so, is someone going to have a vent server up so we can talk/feel eachother out and whatnot? This bunch seems like it may be interesting but I was wondering if open = pvp? And by pvp does that mean faction on faction or is there like free-for-all pvp as well? The last question I have is what career you guys are planning on playing off the bat. I played a shaman in the preview weekend and it was a friggin blast! I may end up playing him as my main come release. I'm planning on trying out the Ironbraker, runepriest, maybe a Bright Wizard, and possibly even a Swordmaster.

My username will be changed eventually, this was made temporarily at work but I'll keep in contact.

Open servers means pvp servers. There is no ffa pvp, only faction on faction combat. Open servers means you are always flagged whereas on core servers you must enter a specific pvp area in order to play world pvp.

Since Open Beta starts tonight I'd like to mention that we're going to be playing on Red Eye Mountain for the Open Phase on Destruction side.

The exception here is if they have Open Servers and Red Eye isn't Open then we will be on a server that starts with G that is open. If that doesn't exist, whoever gets in first gets to pick the open server :P

This is just for open beta. Feel free to try out Order as well. We will be making the final Order Vs. Destruction call on Wednesday (although Destruction has a huge lead atm).
