What do YOU want for the site and wiki?Follow

Here is your chance to tell us upfront, in our face, what you demand of AKZ to produce for our site and wiki. Think big, think creatively, but do try to request what you really want and can think of that will benefit the community. Try to think of things we can likely do :).

Suggestions can range from wiki expansion structures, types of news we produce, a specific Q&A you'd like us to do with the developers, contests, in-game sneak previews, weekly this or weekly that... it's up to you! We have lots of ideas, and we're sorting them out now, but we don't want to produce something that will make you yawn.

So suggest away... I promise we won't ignore anyone, or laugh too much at your crazy ideas! :). If you're conservative about advertising your suggestions, feel free to send them via e-mail to: warteam@allakhazam.com.

Cheers,
Berek

A glossary / dictionary.

Need to know the basics.

Would like to see sort of an FAQ up top in the forums with some comparisons to other MMOs to help people get their head around things.

Something like the wowreader addon that you previously had would be cool. Something that could track guild level, your level, give premium's a nifty banner to display with char stats. basic, but nifty

How about an Idiots Guide to speaking greenskin...

Quote:
Quest text is presented to you in-character, which in the case of the greenskins means that it's spat at you with ridiculous dialect. In fact, it's borderline unreadable at first -- you almost have to read the quests aloud to yourself in order to hear it properly. Even the quest names are colorful: "Sumfink in da water." After a little while, once you get a feel for the way greenskins talk, and you catch on to all the slang they use when putting down the other races, you can't help but get into it.

LOL....

The people clamor for SS of the "Weak" contest! How about a Regiment Pride gallery? Oh I know, how about server maps that people can update with who has control of what area currently?

Well, the SS thing is cool and we can certainly do that, and every Regiment is WELCOME to create a Regiment page here (use "your_regiment_name (WAR Regiment)" for the page name!). I will try to find time to make a Regiment template soon...

As to who has control of what map... that may change too frequently to have any meaning uinless Mythic does a 180 and starts giving us access to server data like SOE is starting to. We will have to wait for the game to go live and take a hard look at just how fast ownership of zones change.

Might be already in the works, but I don't see any class or crafting forums.

I have no idea what crafting is like in WAR so it might not need it's own section, but I always enjoyed the class forums and being able to find info on them pretty easily. A game with 6 different races and 20 classes could get confusing trying to actually find useful information on one forum section. Split them by class, race or just Destruction and Order sections.

If this is already being done great, if not, then something to think about.

It's going to be XML based, ala DAoC's. They're not announcing an implementation date, but I'd imagine it'd be not far from actual launch.

I'm sorry if I've overlooked it, but will there be a mastery builder?

Also. I'll re-up premium when I can have a Warhammer Sig.

There is a talent builder up now, the link is..

http://war.mmoguildsites.com/career_planner/black_orc

It's kind of weird tho, it bases you at level 40, I would rather see one that let's you plug in your level and then you pick your talents.

I plan on adding pics and info to the War Wiki as I come across items upon release. I did that extensively with Eq when it was first released here. I like the fact that we the players will be able to add to or edit the info in the Wiki, that's excellent!

Regards,

Valandur

Thanks everyone for your comments! I'm going to have to un-sticky this to make room for some other stuff. Keep the ideas coming though, as we listen and plan for each and everyone one!
