They announced this morning it's not coming out until this fall!

*cries*

I have to admit, I am greatly disappointed. Greatly.

its not really that big of a delay, since it never really had an official release date, just Q2 i think, and fall should be Q3.

i pretty much called it in the first thread, i knew it wasn't going to make spring

Hopefully they can release it without being near a wow expansion and pull some player base away.

Either way i have my CE preordered :D

what would really suck is if WoW held its expansion off till the fall because of this, but hey, at least we wouldnt have to deal with as many WoWers that way

I'm not really worried about "dealing" with wowers since i was one for 3 years i just burnt out hard due to lack of content after awhile. I didn't do much raiding in TBC but the pvp has become nothing but combo countering. I am really hoping that war doesn't go the super casual route wow did.

I doubt it will be in Q3 since September is the first month of "Fall 08." I'm thinking October.

I think it will be crucial that the game pulls enough people out of WoW to follow their friends to this game. Having stable and growing populations is key for a PvP game.

So lets say Warhammer is going to release within a month or two of WoW, would it be better to release before or after the expansion?

After the expansion by a month or two. Just enough time for people to start getting bored again. After all how long did it take the serious people to make it to 70 after TBC? i know we were both 70 before a month happened. 80 will be just as fast if not faster, then more of the same /shrug

That's what I think.

Although if the game really kicks ***, a month before the WoW expansion might give people enough time in game to get hooked.

True, but i fear that if it was released before hand people would play it but stay committed to a raid guild or something and switch back at wotlk to power level to 80. Only time will tell i guess

Where are my codes when I pre-order online?: Each retailer may do it differently, we have no control over the distribution of their codes to pre-order customers. However, you will generally receive a separate email specifically containing your codes (in some cases it can take several days). Please do not contact EA Mythic Customer Support concerning this - you must contact your retailer as we will be unable to assist you further. EAStore.com will not be distributing codes until early April.

As far as I know the official statement from Mythic is still just "Fall 08", but gamestop.com lists the release date as 10/14/08. Anyone thing gamestop might know something we don't?

Aye, all of the companies who do pre-orders HAVE to give themselves an internal date. It's NEVER right.
