New to game , looking for some helpFollow

Hey, i am just joining the game after 3 long years of WoW.My cousin has been playing Daoc since the beginning and currently has a few 50's. He got me into the game so now i would like some more information to have the best experience possible.

First off, is there any advantages/disadvantages between the three realms ? i am hoping to be doing plently of RvR so i would like to know what realm is the best to play. Also, I've heard on other posts that classic is the best server to play on if your new to the game. Is this true ? I want to get the full experience of the game so any help is appreciated.

Next, is there any classes that are needed or good for RvR? While doing RvR i plan on getting the full experience and doing some PvE too. I am not exactly a fan of a melee class but i am willing to go any class that 1.) Most benefits the guild ( whatever they may need ) and 2.) a class thats good at both RvR and PvE

Third, Proffesions.... are they still a pain to do? And, even so, what is a good, reccomended proffesion(s) for a new player ? My cousin told me that some of the best gear you can get ( aside from artifacts and epics or w/e ) is crafted from other players. So is it best to get those proffesions early on ?

Any and all help is appreciated. Oh, and if you have any server reccemondations where new people are welcome, please post them cause interacting with other people is half the fun of the game.

Thank You, ( and sorry for the incredibly long post filled with questions, i just have so many questions about this game ! )

I think Gareth is a good starting server because there are lots of people there to interact with.Midgard or Albion are good starter realms, as they have a wide selection of classes to choose from.I'd say if you were an alb you should be either Cleric or a Hero. Good luck!
