For starters there are 4 classes Im thinking of playing
Sorcerer-mez,lifetap dd + rr5 ability is nice, amnesia for long range interupting, speed and mana regen. Ive played a sorc before and had alot of fun. Its great setting up a whole group for inevitable death with a well timed mez. The only thing im not crazy about is the damage output of the Sorc. They also play alot better in groups than solo and I might be looking to solo with my next toon.
Runemaster- More damage than a sorc, runs faster than a sorc, mean dd, nuke, has pulsing bladeturn, a good root and the always hated Near site.
Warlock is my last and least likely choice. From what Ive heard they have some insane damage and range but they have to reload often..or something like that.
Ive even thought of playing a Ranger--especially since it would be fun to solo and hit people from a distance.
What do you guys think--

I've not played all the different characters out there but as an alb there is one character that just stands out to me as the funnest toon to RvR with.
The minstrel. I like to be able to sit stealth, then aoe mezz. then single line mezz to give me little extra time. My "I win" buttons commence right after the mezz's. the two instant damages hand out a little nice tid bit of damage and the 10 second stun work wonders on two or three hibs.
and if you bite off more than you can chew you can always run away with the best speed. or for your viewing pleasure take a pet and sick it on the hiblet.
I complain alot about the overpoweredness of the hiblets bainshee and animist and the mids warlock, I think the minstrel is our overpowered toon. QQ im scared of the nerfs. May they never come my way. :)

I might play a minstrel one of these days but I think Ive made up my mind.
My flavor of choice has always been the sorcerer. First toon I ever played was a bonedancer and while that was fun, I LOVED playing my sorc.
Amnesia from 2300 range is a group saver and mezzing a whole group is great too cause its like lining up the pins before they get knocked down.
Its funny cause, Ive played a million other games and never found the CC satisfaction of any other charachter in any other game like I do with the sorc. I like being the "I" win button of my realm.
So crew are you still in Iraq? You should come on one of the classic servers--Gareth Your fire wiz and my sorc would make a nice team.

QQ yea im still in iraq wont be back until January. My friend has a 5L6 Sorc as his main. he constantly complains but he kicks alot of *** :) i got a Cleric i been trying to work up on Gareth but shes still pretty low. was having a hard time trying to find a group. My buddy though is the GM of one of the Big guilds on gareth. Imperium. I'm a GM on tristan ATM and me n a few friends Currently trying to get our setup to farm fire island. Ill be on Gareth here n there though. Good Luck on the sorc :)
