Various qs's (Please Help)Follow

Hello, I am getting DAoC in a couple of days and I would like to know some things before I start it up. First of all, I am trying to find a good server to play on. I want to be Albion and have a scout, infil, and minstril. First of all, I heard some things about minstrils 50 instrument being good for the new server. Is there a difference between the new server and old server? I was planning on Gareth because it is so huge. Also, do I really need 50 instrument? I have seen some debating on whether 50 instrument is really usefull or not. Also, what level stealth should I get? I would love to be doing alot of stealth, but I think some thrust skill would be usefull to. I was looking around for what a good level of stealth is and I saw 31 wouldn't be too bad. So how is:

50 Instrument
31 Stealth
29 Thrust

Anyways, I can't decide on which stats to bring up at the start. I was thinking Qui +10, Cha +10, Con +10.. But apparantly dex and str are usefull to me..? Now for the scout, I was thinking of:

50 Bow
35 Stealth
23 Shield
39 Thrust

Now, I played DAoC previusly and was wondering. Do I really need to use thrust and shield? Like can't I just use bow the entire time? What is the point of useing thrust and shield if I can just use bow the entire time? Like is it better in close combat or something? If it is better to keep thrust and shield, then is it really a big difference to get to 50 bow? Why don't I just bring it to 45 bow and then bring up thrust or shield, and if I do bring up shield and thrust, then what should I bring them to? And also, keeping thrust and shield, which stat should I bring up? I saw a formula somewhere (Str + Dex)/2 .. If that is true for combat related stuff, then why don't I just not bother with strength and only bring up dex & qui? Next is the infil. Now I heard you can just bring stealth to 35 and with realm points get it up to 50 right after. Actually I was wondering if I could do the same with my minstril and scout since I want to be doing alot of stealthing with all 3 of my characters. Also, how is this for a spec with the infil?

35 Stealth
39 Critical Strike
50 Thrust
27 Dual Wield
35 Envenom

And lastly, if I don't spec in stealth and simply autotrain it, how many points am I gaining out of it? Because if I only gain 1 or 2 points in stealth then I don't see the point of missing out on the low level bg's, however if I can get an extra say 10 points from autotraining stealth then I could simply PvE until 50 and then start RvRing with the infil.

Please if anyone can help me with any of the questions I asked here, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes. go 50 instruments i recomend 50 instruments 30 stealth 30 slash but i think my final spec was 50 instruments 34 slash 26 stealth. that gives you enough stealth to climb walls and awesome instruments. and when you RR6 your slash will be up to 50 :)

on a scout im going 50 bow 42 shield 18 thrust and the rest in stealth which i think will hit 30. the shield is for the 9 second stun which will be awsome. the thrust really shouldnt be that important.

never played a infiltrator- Good luck

Tristan Albion for life!!
