DAoC won't work!Follow

#1 Nov 28 2004 at 6:02 AM Rating: Decent
DAoC won't start when I click the icon. I just installed it because I just started playing again. But the damn thing won't work! I've entered the cd-keys to Camelot and Shrouded Isles so it's not that. But like I said it won't start.

Just saying "it won't start" means nothing. What happens when you click the icon? Nothing? or something you're not telling us?

If you're clicking a shortcut icon and nothing is happening at all, then it may not be pointed at the right directory. Delete that icon and make a new shortcut from the directory you have the game installed in. However, even if the present shortcut is misdirected, it should tell you that it can't find what it's looking for.

If the program begins to open but then crashes back to desktop, you have a different problem.

Please give more information along with any messages you receive while trying to start the game.

Well, the computers starts to load for like 2 seks then it stops. Just stops. When I check processes I can see Camelot.exe starting, then dissapearing. I have installed Camelot, Shrouded Isles, Foundations, New Frontiers. I have no idea what so ever what could be wrong. I don't know anyone who has been having the same problem and no one in #daoc or #daoc.se knew what could be the problem. Or maybe they're just lazy. Anyhow help is welcome.

I'm not a techy and your problem is not something I'm familiar with. Try the Tech Tavern at camelotvault.ign.com and the tech support area at Camelotherald.com.

Sounds like you may not have enough memory available to run the game, but that's just a guess.

Ok, I will do that. But I do have enough free memory because I can still run games that are far more complicated than DAoC without any problems. Besides, I just reinstalled the comp so there should be enough memory for at least 4 months or so.
