you're infected with a virus, it's not us.

please calm down and get ad-aware or spybot, and a virus scanner

doubt its a virus, but would not be supprised that it is some nasty spyware that has come from this site.

i lose count how much junk i block from allah sites in general. way to many known spyware links from this site.

yes it costs a fair amount of cash to opperate this site, but do you really have to resort to that kind of intrusive unwanted programing allh?

then you should be aware that those DO NOT LOOK FOR VIRII but only for spyware.

doubt there is any live virus running rampent due to coming to this site, but spyware is extreemly rampent here.

You said INFECTED - spyware is not an infection.

Just get a good popup blocker. I use the google toolbar blocker. It is free and works great. I never get a popup of any kind from Allakhazam.

that is the title of this thread is it not?

hmm infected = virus, there are NO virii that are coming directly from any of the pop-ups from this site.

you have something fubar in your winXP, that is not from a virii, it could, and sounds like from the rest of your post, to be spyware adjusting something in IE, or the TCP/IP settings or other networkable files. let me guess you opperate your system on administrator privliges. well there is a major problem right there. run under normal user mode and things like that will not be able to install them self as your account does not have the permissions to install.

nope, its just F***in spyware and not much more. lame *** spyware/adware junk. sadly allah alows for their advertisers to place spyware/adware in their banners and pop-ups. very bad IMHO, but then since i swaped to Opera as my browser 80% of that junk is no longer an issue with my system. i also added close to 400 entries to my 'hosts' file thus blocking the majority of the rest of the known bad guys out there.

nope, you are doing a good job of that your self, by showing your total lack of knowledge when it comes to the differance between INFECTED (virii) vs spyware and how to protect your system from it.

Wow, what a jack *** (if you dont mind me saying so). Hah, I probibly shouldn't put my 2 cents in.. but, Allakhazam.com is the best DAoC website I have been to. I have never had any problems with these so called "pop-ups".. Keep up the good work guys, Lots of people love you!

Actually I use Allakhzam almost exclusively to evercrack and DaoC and have not had one problem before or after I switched to premium. Ive noticed that if you use programs like Kazaa or other file sharing programs your a high target for spyware. Files that you download off of these programs contain spyware as well as the file share program itself. If your on AOL then allah's pop ups dont come up period in my expierance, you can also use ad-aware which can be downloaded from download.com and is a free program that not only erases these programs it removes them from your sys registry and DOES NOT infect your computer. More then likely though you have a trojan hoarse virus or a very serious spyware program such as Gator I suggest you download this program and maybe some free anti-virus software and install a firewall as well, it well allow you to block what programs can and can not access the internet so you wont have to worry about it kicking you off DaoC.

I have also experienced the "scrolling pop-up", but it is not that big of a deal. All you have to do, is have the hand-eye coordination of a seven year old girl, and push the X. It is not hard.

Allakhazam should create a thread strictly to quotes of the week, IMO this should take top 5. Props to you rossphocles.
