I have been trying to figure out how to use the catapult, but cannot get it to work. I have searched the manual but i can't find a thing. Please help

I believe you also purchase the ammo for it, once you've done that and have it set up (either by building one, or for lower levels buying one in the battlegrounds albion portal keep), click on it and type /control. It's pretty self explanatory from there.

Can one operate at ram or catapult with only a 1 in seigecraft skill? Does operatiing the ram or catapult raise ones skill level in seigecraft...or just building them?

If you're using a catapult in the battlegrounds, the siegemaster drops some ammo on the ground for you. You have to pick it up and drop it into the catapult to load it. Then use the /control command to use it.

Anyone can use siege equipment so long as they have a tradeskill. And using them does not raise your skill in siegecraft.
