Im hopoing to buy game my freidn wants to be and enchanter im think ill be a ranger are rangers any good?

Good for solo. Try to get Fletching (Tradeskill) high enough to make all arrows. Can also do tradeskill task to make money. I'm only level 40 but have enjoyed it.
Rangers are good for RvR, you just gotta know how to play it -_-
