I've still got the mimeo jewel in my temp. key items, but when I take it to the top of the mountain it says nothing happens. I thought since I obtained the jewel before maint. and servers went down that I had to get another. However when I click on the sand to get another jewel it also says nothing happened. Has anyone else had this issue?

You have probably already figured this out and moved on, but my guess is, if your jewel didn't break after 30 minutes from obtaining it, there is a glitch that you will need a GM to fix. According to the wiki, you have 30 minutes to get to the top before it breaks and you will lose the KI. Logging off, zoning, etc also causes the jewel to break. Based on this you should not still have it and may require a GM to fix your KI so you can reobtain.
