Trying to complete the quest: Playing Paparazzi.
wiki says: only two NM work: "a nasty purple thing the size of a small mountain (Kukulkan)", and a "frightful thing with a knife, a ways off to the north-east." Which is the T2 tonberry NM (forgot name).

But I was told my JP ppl on my server that Eccentric Eve also works. Which makes sense since it is also a nasty purple thing the size of a small mountain.
So today I got lucky and took 3 pics of Eccentric Eve but all 3 pics got rejected.
Somebody please confirm if Eccentric Eve works for this quest. Thank you.

I'm like 90% sure that the other NM he speaks of is a tonberry NM where you need the Key item "Twisted tonberry crown" to pop him. He says something about a frightening thing to the northeast with a knife.... i think all tonberries have knives and there is a ??? where you need the key item at the very Northeast corner of the map.
Honestly i think that right now though it is impossible to obtain the key item, because i have not heard anything about the NM or how to get the key item, i tried killing about 25 of the other mage tonberries and never got the key item so i'm not sure. I know there were some issues on certain servers about how they didn't even have any tonberries at all so i think it is possible it may be some sort of glich.

Thanks for the reply but I knew this already. I mentioned this in my OP. Also Tonberry not popping is not a glitch it is a combination of time and other conditions we (the players) do not know of yet. Abyssea had a number of mob family and NM on a timer. Tonberry are not the only ones. SE did this on purpose.
I also know Kukulkan (peiste NM) works for this quest.
My question is about Eccentric Eve (Morbol type NM) in regards to Playing Paparazzi. This NM also fits the NPC dialogue perfectly and a few JP players told me this NM does work for this quest. But when I handed in 3 pics of this NM they all got rejected by the NPC (Naji).
So now I would like to know if I took my pics at the wrong angle or maybe the JP players were giving me wrong information and Eccentric Eve does not work for this quest.

Unless you can find screenshots or a vid of a JP player completing the quest with those photos I would go with them messing with you.

Yea I guess they were messing with me. today I took pic of kukulkan and got abysite. Then handed in second pic for an augumented black mantle STR+1 evasion +3.

Regarding Kukulkan, anyone know if the shot needs to be high-quality (that is, straight-on and close-up). This NM is often kited, which means constant motion and lots of side/rear shots. I haven't managed to get the quest open yet, but I have some (low-quality) shots saved up, and am wondering if they're going to be any good.
Edit: Got it. Doesn't have to be a perfect shot, but has to be reasonably good. He rejected like 2-3 pics before accepting one.

I'd imagine most high tier NMs in Konschtat would work for this quest, but Turul is the easiest to use; I'd recommend getting a pic of him, since it doesn't need to be popped and you'll usually find it up.
You likely do need a straight up shot of the NM's face, so yeah, Kukulkan can be tricky to get one of.
