Trial of Magians Staff Trial [841]Follow

Hi guys I was wondering which slimes people have gone for with Staff Trial[841] which is to kill 100 slimes under ice, dark, earth, or water weather. I have been level synced to a friends level 13 beast killing Oil Spills in Ranguemont Pass I'm able to get a kill every eight minutes or so and the weather stays pretty frequently. This tends to be a bit slow. Has anyone found any faster way to do this? Or should I just continue killing these Oil Spills?

Sadly Clots don't work for the trial...I finished on the oil slicks. It was the most difficult trial for me to complete.
