An invitation to the longest static of your lifeFollow

I am not sure how many of you may remember me as I haven't been in the game for quite some time, but me and one of my close friends (Atreu) are considering getting back into the game. We would like to form a very dedicated static group. By dedicated, I mean pretty much from start to finish. We would like to find a few willing to start new characters, and level them strictly as a static. I know the chances of getting this to work may be rather small, but this is a post to see if there are others who would value the experience of going through the game as a group.

Some things we are considering (those interested are more than welcome to ask, suggest, toss opinions...):
-Wooshoo and Atreu were both Tarutarus from Windurst and were on Titan server; Titan will be the preferred server
-we intend to start in Windurst, but eventually complete all 3 mission sets
-preference will be given to Tarutaru over all others (we're dreaming, but we would seriously love to have an all-shorties group)
-main jobs and sub jobs will be leveled with the static
-to begin with, we plan on making it just one night a week

For those of you who might like to join up with us, we are mainly looking for people who care more about the adventure, the group, and seeing most (if not all) of what this game has to offer in the way of stories, places, etc. In other words, we want to make a new group of friends and go tour Vana'Diel. This is not going to happen quickly, we know, but we welcome any who might be interested to post.

(If I had to put a timetable on the start, I would say roughly a month. Anything I listed above as citeria is not firm; it will eventually be decided by the whole group. And one last thing to keep in mind, Atreu is definitely, for sure, without doubt going to level BLM again, so if you were considering that, don't rule out that job. Just know that he is going to level it again.)

I thought you intended on using your current characters to do it.

Not at all. We (Atreu and I) talked this over, and we are both willing to start over. Hopefully, there may be a few others out there willing to do the same.

Well, at this point, it's still just Atreu and I, so we're not counting anyone out. We're willing to talk to those who want to join and make this work.

It would be fun, yeah.

If you ever did make this happen, you should do it on a server like Asura or Fairy. I ALWAYS hear stuff about those servers, lol.

I'd be interested in joining up with you guys. I've been off FF for a while, and starting over would be pretty fun. I like your philosophy in terms of adventuring and storyline > grinding, etc.

I really appreciate all of the replies and opinions. Please keep in mind that this won't happen overnight. If possible, Atreu and I would like to chat or something like that with the people interested. We joined the game within a week of each other, and we were very fortunate to have made some solid friends in the early days of our adventures. We miss that more than anything else about the game. This could easily fall through (seriously, any who have been in a static or have tried to make one knows how much you have to work with it), but even if it just makes a few more firends, it will be worth the effort of looking into all of it.

3) one night a week sounds good..but the word Night.. Night my time? Night your time? Night starting at 6pm?

4) iv yet to finish ZM and CoP..id so not likeing haveing to do them again on another char..not until my main has them finished.

The idea to know(and you should pick what day) that on ??? Day i can lvl ___ Job from ??:??pm time to ??:??pm/am time sounds sweet.

Theres a post not to farm from this that was talking about Tanks..
and i posted on how someday i might lvl PLD...
Maybe with some more info from you..or send me a tell(i use same name as here cept the "*" is an "i") we coould lvl.

First off, I'd just like to say thanks to all of you posting or sending me messages. After about a year and a half on CoH/CoV, I have almost forgotten what a real MMO community is like.

Next, a few things that might need to be thrown out there. Please remember that none of this is set until the people involved all agree on it, so these aren't rules, and you're not ruled out of this if something doesn't fit. Speaking with Atreu (who is about as awed by the response as I was), if this all works out, those involved are willing, we will all be starting over with new characters on whatever server. I know that if it's on Titan, we will have whatever resources that Atreu and I (and all our alts) had, so I know that any armor, crafting, items, gil I had, I will be using to supplement the group (unless of course that is tossed out by the group). I would hope, but don't expect, that others might do this if we hop to a server they have established characters on. I can't stress enough how much Atreu and I value the player over how well they play. We have had our share of close friends who have been considered some of the best at their jobs, and we have also had our share of complete idiots who bumbled up the simplest things, but made us laugh our butts off in the process (Puss, we really do miss you ^^). That being said, we are really hoping that people will be willing to work with the group but also show flexibility if unusual ideas pop up (say, someone really, REALLY wants to see if THF/WHM can work - that was just off the top of my head...).
