I havent played since 2009... but seeing that cutscene and old music in the FFXIv collaboration event made me at least wanna come back and finish all the story content I missed over the last 6 years.

But now Im back in the game, at level 75 and have zero idea what to do (also since I only care about story and not planning on playing seriously like my old days, do i really need to bother with relic/empyrean weapons, getting the best/decent gear that takes effort to obtain, maxing merits or anything else other than just hitting 99 and doing story?)

Only thing Ive accomplished so far is seen the abyssea cutscene in jueno went into abyssea for 10 mins, talked to joachim again and got my first stone and now I guess Ill get a new one every 24 hours to build time, and I went to bastok and saw the first Raphsodies cutscene, thats it.. I have no idea where or how to begin leveling, or how to start trusts, where to level at, if it even still find ppl around my level to level with etc etc.

As for configuration issues.. ok so when i first logged in my sam sword looked like a staircase instead iof a straight slope like any blade would look so i went to config and beefed up the graphics, changed to 1080p resolution etc etc, now my sword looks like a sword, the only issue now is my character looks fat and stretched, like this game wasnt designed to run on a 42 inch screen (even in windows mode) how do I fix that?

Also the camera is too close up to my character (especially in combat) for my liking, anyway to change that? Lastly I went to gamepad configuration and changed it so that (if you were using a playstation controller) X would be confirm/accept and O would be cancel, instead of vice versa like it would be in Japan and how it is on the default settings, and when I play the game the settings work as I set them but as soon as I tab out to check something on teh internet (or just click on my browser since I don need to tab in windowed mode since the taskbar is there) and go back to the game its back to O being accept/confirm and X being cancelled, despite the fact that my button config options still show the changed I made. How do I stop that from happening?

Trust stuff: http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Trust

After unlocking those, including those gained in the Records of Eminence tutorial section, work your way to 99 and get a set of eminent gear and a weapon. If you had a lot of content done prior, you can probably just flag and auto-complete a number of objectives.

For leveling, you'll probably have to solo with Trusts unless you can find someone to carry you elsewhere. Doing leeches in the Oubliette could get you to 99. I guess you could do the first chain of RoV missions, ending around the Siren encounter, to help your EXP rates, but progressing past that might be tough at 75.

Frankly, you could probably ignore Abyssea, relics, and all that. Without finding a group of people to get you past the eminent gear phase, though, you're probably not going to be able to finish the last chain of the RoV missions. But all of that is a bit off since you still need to do your limit breaks and such.

As for your character looking fat, there's a perspective configuration withing the ingame options. 4:3, 16:9, and so on. Just find the one you like. The camera, unfortunately, stays close. If you turn off auto-lock on you might be able to manage a bit more, but it's honestly one of the game's combat annoyances when fighting larger mobs or you need to be aware of environmental factors. Can't help you on the controller. Could maybe tweak stuff in its default config or within game itself.

As mentioned above, you can fix the aspect ratio in game. As for your gamepad problem, if you're using a Logitech style gamepad, be sure you haven't pressed the mode button by mistake. (It should light up if you have.) Another thing to be aware of is that in the latest patch, the game is now compatible with X-input controllers. Check your setting on your controller and in setup. I have had no problems with Logictech or Rock Candy PS3 controllers

Will they auto-complete? I was looking at the list and a little bummed about all the stuff i had done already. Missions,Quests, Leveling, Jobs, Etc...

Edit: umm a "." where a "?" should have been.

Anything that can only be done once will complete immediately after setting the objective, like the storyline missions, level cap, storage, etc. Repeatable content like NM and other content clears will need to be done with the objective set.
