This is awesome. The wife and I were just about to sub up, so we ll wait a couple more weeks, and also wanted to transfer servers. We re on Phoenix, but have heard theres a larger English speaking community on Asura.

Probably after the last major update in November it'd be like that but we'll see what the plan is since they said they're taking this period to analyze the status of XI.

To have this game ongoing for this long, there is no reason why they couldn't give at least one discounted month.

Or bring back that universal discount if you subbed to both XIV and XI. Now that they invalidated the legacy discount by forcing you to pay for extra retainers (since let's be real, every single inventory response yoshi gave is "Go buy retainers" in between the lines) they may as well offer both games for a flat $16 a month or something even if you don't touch that other MMO.

Do I have to anything to be able to log in? Keeps telling me id and password are invalid. I thought we use the same square enix id and password for FFXI and FFXIV?

You have to transfer your POL ID and Password to the SE account. About 2-3 years ago they also force changed everyone's passwords that was under a certain requirement and got rid of the ability to make certain types of passwords, for example my old password was similar to abc123DEF!!34XyZ, which is now "invalid" if you try to make one like it or if your current password is that.

I did that earlier this year when I resubbed to FFXI for a few months. I converted my play online id to a SE id. Since I'm using my SE id now, I thought it would be the same id password for both FFXI and FFXIV since my characters are all under the same SE account.
