Ok, I took a break from FFXI and now I'm back. I'm linkshell-less and frankly talking to the general population in Port Jueno is worthless. What is so great about Wild Keeper Reives? I've done a few, gotten a few worthless items and frankly just don't see the point for the amount of time it takes. Is there some drop that I'm missing or some purpose that I don't know about?

  • The crest KI you get can be used to augment WKR weapons with a minor upgrade.
  • You need to kill them to get access to their respective zone's "basement/secret" area, which are very good CP party spots.
  • You get a fair amount of bayld during the evaluations, which can be used to buy H-P Bayld, and some of the drops can be converted to bayld as well.
  • BLUs can learn some of their moves.

The campaign that is happening right now offers a chance a Delve boss drops. These are needed for Relic 119 upgrades and cost about 2 million on the auction house.

  • Is there somewhere that outlines where these are? I missed out on how to get access to them.

Also, I'm making serious bank on HP bayld that drops. And you get crap gear you can turn in for more bayld then turn into more HP bayld. And you get lots of Bayld from evaluations. Even though I've only gotten 1 boss crafting drop so far, the HP bayld has made me a lot, and LOTS of high tier skirmish parts drop (the bottom of the market has fallen out for these on my server ATM, but I can see that changing sometime after the campaign)

Also you get a slight permanent CP bonus for completing the ROE once.

Also I dunno what you're talking about in regards to these taking long, on my server they take about 5 mins each, we just cycle through the easy ones. ALSO - it can take forever to learn the spells on BLU. Still missing 3.

It's basically a super easy, chill, mindless way of making some gil or farming drops you need. It's nice cause you don't need permission to participate, you just show up and enjoy yourself.

40% OAT is minor to you? It's like the single aspect that makes those weapons worthwhile, and occasionally more powerful than i119 equivalents if the extra stat bumps from i119 weapons are not needed.

The few time's I've done WKR it's been 3-5 people, takes 30+minutes and seems pointless. The Delve boss drops are interesting, maybe they'll be worth the time investment.

Ceizak, Hennital, Morimar and Marijami (I'm sure I just butchered the spellings on all of those) each have an access point. These appear as two glassy spikes sticking up from the ground surrounded by smaller shards on the ground, kind of like a high tech fantasy sun dial. If you have not beaten the WKR for that zone, they will be visible, but not targetable. If you have beaten the WKR, they are targetable and you can select "beam me up".

Ceizak is south of OP #1, bottom of the map.
    Hennital is near OP #2
Morimar is north of OP #5
Marijami go to OP #3, head east and climb down, then south to where the rabbits and flytraps are. There is a scallable spot to go up and east (west takes you to NM IV) which will take you to the tele.

These are all great EXP/CP spots... but don't be a jerkwad and camp on top of someone else who is already clearing a local population (in some instances completely doable solo with 4 trusts), as there are tons of good camps.

Wat? Maybe the tree now, but otherwise they shouldn't take more than 5-10 mins if people are on them. Hell, if I have to go get KIs I just skip that stop in the circuit as usually by the time I'm done talking to that slow-a-s-s NPC, the rieve is 2/3 done.

Monitoring your server's FFXIAH shout list is probably the best way to see if any groups are running. Otherwise, you can be like me and solo Achuka as BLU/WHM for a couple hours before someone else finally showed up. No sword drop, of course. D:

Why not just do a quick shout? Whenever I do, people join in pretty much immediately...

I know it's a bit pricey but if I was on a server that crummy I would switch to Asura or another more populated server. I don't understand why they don't hurry up and merge already.

What they need to do is get with the times and eliminate the cost to world transfer entirely. Then cut the restriction down to once a week. Merges technically wouldn't be needed then as people are more free to migrate to a destination world, including lesser populated ones for less competition in open world camps.

What I probably forgot to mention in my initial tale of woe is that I did try to shout and gather people via shouts in Adoulin/Jeuno. Even left some periodic messages on the Unity chat I was in. This wasn't some 3am fling I'm occasionally prone to, either, but at like 5-7pm on a Saturday. Ergo, Sylph sucks. :P
