Probably depends on the job. The melee ones are generally easy and the RDM was notoriously difficult. These days though, you shouldn't have any trouble hitting the level 70 cap, plus sparks let you cap your skills easier if you want to enter the fight with blue numbers. Vile Elixirs are reasonably priced too. On top of that, Testimonies can be used multiple times if necessary so you don't have to re-farm a new one.

I don't really have any advice on the fights themselves, so good luck.

It does still depend on the job, yeah.

Something worth noting though is that you get three tries per testimony now, so don't ditch it after you use it. (You can also turn it in to a daily tally goblin for tally points, too)

Summoner, Ninja, Beastmaster, and Black Mage are the easiest in my opinion.

BST was super easy. It's also pretty easy to level too. Though you can't call trusts if you've charmed a mob, so charm after calling trusts.

Summoner is the only maat i have ever failed :(

Admittedly, i had no gear and only carbuncle, and had never played smn before except in smn burn parties, but had no trouble with any others under the same conditions!

WHM is by far the easiest. All you have to do is last a few minutes against Maat and he gives up. This was all programed before repose was added to the game.

All you do is hit him with repose to sleep him a couple times and wait it out.

WHM is really easy but you do have to press buttons to stay alive.
When I did my BST Maat all I did was summon my pet and fed it a couple of biscuits while i stood back for 4-5 minutes.

Which you apparently did using the powers of your mind, right?

Three un-resisted Reposes is all it takes. But to be fair, you do have to remember to cast Diaga first, and you probably want your Divine skill up to 200 or so, so he won't resist.

70+ with only Carbuncle? XD

All you need to do is Predator claws and let Garuda melee four times and you win.

Im not sure why you would think that, sorry.

I simply implied it took me 2 macro presses to win as opposed to constantly healing myself and possibly dieing.

i did the dnc version, not maat, against the blonde dancer in jeuno, was super easy!

NIN may be easy if you actually play the job and are geared for it, but it was one of the hardest for me to finish for Maat's Cap. RNG was a pain too. And I failed once on RDM at 99.

Which is somehow different from having to heal your pet that's tanking for you...?

Hell, tbh, WHM can probably win their fight without having to cast a single heal. The fight wasn't designed with Repose in mind, and now that it's in the game the fight became a total joke.

The WHM fight is pretty easy as long as you're properly prepared. I promoted 2 storage mules to salvage helpers over the summer and did both of their Maat fights in full AF along with a few AH bought accessories, an NQ elemental staff, some ethers, yag drinks, vile elixir, and emergency echo drops. I didn't need most of those, but better safe than sorry.

I cannot stress enough having your Divine skill capped for this fight, and this may be deal breaker for some people. I took no damage during either fight but a resisted Repose would spell trouble to someone with low healing and enhancing skills. Skill books and colonization reives worked pretty well for raising Divine skill.

I could see the advantage in not wanting to spend a lot of time raising skills before the fight, casting spells and waiting around for MP during the fight, but it is a pretty easy fight overall.

The thing is, now that you can use trusts, pulling with Banish and then spamming divine magic is a lot easier than it used to be. Then you can finish it off with skill scrolls from sparks.
