Apparently, wanted NMs are indeed spawned by touching an object, but they require a three person group (why!?) to even spawn the NM (Trusts do Not count), so couldn't test it out with just myself and family member, which was kinda a bummer.

So basically, solo you can get a bunch of accolades with the RoE objectives, but you can't get any actual rewards out of it (outside of the gobbie key, no idea what exactly that gives you but it requires a LOT of accolades, like 15k IIRC) without a minimum of 3 people.

Dunno if you can participate in kills if you're not invited into the group, though. If it is a requirement to be in a group to participate, then I can see some drama/refusal to invite people that aren't awesomely geared going on/refusal to invite certain people/etc going on and that will pretty much kill the whole thing for its intended purpose.

Hopefully they didn't do something stupid like that or Unity will be basically "Niche groups/endgame shells only" kinda thing where your average player who has no endgame shell that really needs this content can't get to participate because nobody wants to invite him because he doesn't have awesome gear/endgame experience.

EDIT: I'd also have to wonder how the looting thing will work. If items are just dropped off of the mobs, won't we see loot drama going on, or did they make loot personal?

EDIT2: Re-reading the Concord stuff (that I somehow missed the link to), looks like you do indeed have to be invited into the group... don't know why they didn't just make it so that anybody could show up and participate to reduce problems with people refusing to invite people they don't know/like to these things.

You do have to be in a group of three. Everyone in the group gets their own coffer item after the fight.

Well at least the coffer is mildly good news. Anybody post anything on what kinda stuff you get out of it? And/or any drama going on with peeps not wanting to invite?

If I'm understanding the stuff in the BG forums thread about it properly, the mobs are mostly pretty easy (with a lot being way below current content levels), so I'd be at least a bit surprised by that kind of elitism.

If they're so easy... why the 3 person requirement, then?

Esp for the Lv75 and Lv99 mobs; anybody would easily be able to solo those with sparks gear surely. Why require a 3 person group when a 3 person group isn't even necessary to kill it?

I can understand a 3 person group for the 119 mobs, sure. That makes sense.

The three person requirement isn't about keeping you from getting a boo-boo. It's to keep people from spamming the same stuff, and possibly monopolizing a spawn point, by requiring you to find two other people with points to spend.

But yet, you need Accolades to even pop the mob in the first place. All they needed to have done, was have the thing respawn in 5 minutes, and let you pop the thing if you have Accolades.

Can't monopolize it for long at 500 a pop for Lv75 mobs (it goes up from there from what I saw). You'd soon run out of Accolades and be forced to stop popping it.

But oh well...

I recall you being out of the XI game for long time and only recently came back. You'd be surprised how much of a non-issue this is for people who'd seriously want to monopolize something.

I imagine it is so that people work together. The whole point of unity is to ... you know, promote unity. I saw people in my unity chat organizing casually around these things so... don't really see the big deal. I haven't felt like doing any of the mobs yet, but I am going to wait to get angry until I see it being a problem.

It could also be viewed as an artificial time sink too.
