Fireday, SE, cutting Geodes (Lv51 recipe). Lv47 Goldsmithing. 12 Synth attempts, 2 breaks, all but 2 gave a 0.1.
Just a lucky streak or did they buff the skill up rates?

Just lucky, I think. My girlfriends crafted about 20 Pebbles soups and 10 hard boiled eggs and JUST got level 1 cooking. I was a bit surprised at the bad luck actually.

If you were in an Adoulin area and had ionis, you got at least a small buff to skillup rate due to Coalition bonuses to ionis.

Another 8 Synths, all Geodes, Iceday facing East, Lv48 (Geodes are Lv51 IIRC):

All of them were successes, No Guild Support, and no Ionis/Adoulin related stuff (did it in Windy Moghouse).
Has to be like the easiest Goldsmithing skillups, Ever lol.

I did just see that you are below 60 skill. The streak that you are talking about is not uncommon below 60. There is also a moogle kupower that will increase skillup rate (opinion) as well though. That could have been active.
I once got 8 successive skillups at level 99 smithing. I've also gone 40+ synths without a skillup.

Hmmm. I remember 40+ being the 'cutoff' for frequent skillups, but then memory may be foggy.
Ah well, was just curious.
It is nice to see skillups anyways.
