The next version update is scheduled to dock on Tuesday, April 8.

Cargo on this ship includes new high-tier mission battlefields with Tenzen and Ouryu respectively, new job-specific equipment, racial stat adjustments such as increases in Tarutaru HP and Galka MP, and a variety of adjustments to make adventuring in Vana'diel more convenient than ever.

In the days ahead we'll reel in more detailed information as we prepare to make landfall, so stay tuned!

[dev1193] Adjustments to Racial HP and MP Maximums

In the April version update, adjustments to character HP and MP maximums will be made to reduce the discrepancy between races.

  • HP
Maximum HP will be increased for the four non-Galka races.
Tarutaru HP will increase by a maximum of approximately 300 by level 99 due to this change.

  • MP
Maximum MP will be increased for the four non-Tarutaru races.
Galka MP will increase by a maximum of approximately 250 by level 99 due to this change.

* The hierarchy of racial HP and MP levels will remain unchanged.

Tenzen will do 2000 damage WS's and Onryu will do 1800 aoe attacks. Both will be done using combinations of OChain PLD's, RNG's and BRD's.

I've learned that the #1 advantage that Dharp has over Ghorn isn't the third song. It's the extended range you get with the harp. Yeah, my marches would be way better if I could safely get in 9.9 yalms of the whole party, but at least I can stand 19 yalms away and keep march up for the duration of the fight.

(I've died more times in OR Skirmishes as a bard than I did in Dynamis at 75 cap. When I was pulling.)

Ouryu? They damn well better put some home points at the BCNMs in Riverne already! (I just checked wiki and nope, not in the list right now.)

It's enough of a pain in the *** just getting to Riverne, not to mention having to go through Riverne.

Why are you pulling in OR Skirmish? I've found it easier to roam in a giant circle between the rooms and smash the NM's, they aren't exactly hard.

Your March's shouldn't be too bad if you have a Langeleik. That and your emp hands should give +4 march's at a long distance. And yeah I find the #1 way to lose a boss fight is to have your buffs wear mid fight because the BRD's died while singing due to the stupid heavy AoE spam. You RR and it's either go another 3 min without songs, or try to reapply and hope you don't die again while weakened.

I'm not. I said I die more times in OR skirmish than I did in Dynamis when I was pulling. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I put "please hold still!" messages in my songs because melee like to run off mid mega song buff right before a boss, and if I get too close to an OR Skirmish boss, I'm probably going to die.

doesn't help that BRD's best gear is pretty much all non ilevel so you have the defense of a wet paper bag at almost all times. Sucks that both the relic and the AF1 is so meh.

Huh? Most are push overs with the Iron Clad being the only real ****. If your having so many problems then people need to stop back and learn the AI gimmicks of each NM.

Fynlar I run tons of OR Skirmish groups every weekend, typical setup is WHM BRD BLM DDx3 with one of the DD's being a MNK (FS for the jelly NM is good). We've found that a single BLM (or BLU/RUN with AAHM Saber) was really useful to have around as they can haste one DD and nuke well enough to be worth their slot. I often go RUN because it's super useful against many of the NM's and maximum damage is rarely an issue inside.

I was hoping there'd be weapons for jobs other than GEO and RUN, but I see now that it's just those two getting their mythic or something.

Edit: wait a minute, no. If there's shields and instruments, then it can't be just GEO and RUN.

I'm pretty sure this is inevitable. Which I suppose means I should get back and finish my THF set, I totally tossed a piece or two for some stupid reason back in the day. I think I only had 1-2 empy+2's and didn't want to lose inventory on a 1-2 item storage slip or something.

Both entrances to Monarch Linn lead to the same place. You entered via Riverne Site A for the Mammet fight only because you didn't have Site B access yet, which is a faster way to Monarch Linn. Most people entered Ouryu fight from Site B.

Yeah, they said they will do this. I am assuming they are waiting so that more people upgrade the relic/artifact because most empy sets @#$% all over AF1/2

If those are anything like all the previous jobs. Does that mean there's going to be alot of Alexandrite, assaults, Floor 100, etc needing to be done prior? Or will it be somthing like group farming insanely low drops from nm's in new BC battle on hard mode? I'm thinking if it is like any typical mythic farm the time-sink and price of beitsu at the end may spike if the stats/abilities are worth it.
