I love the home point warps, but #1 #2 and #3 could be a little easier.
Perhaps "Mog House", "Auction House" "Random Landmark" would benefit us all more.

Thoughts?

This was brought up a few weeks ago and it seems that SE has thought of this. (See the link below and check the posts at the bottom of the thread for more info.)

Other then having to place marks on your map where to find HP's it would be nice to be able to scan them as all jobs now have widescan.

I actually meant when I am teleporting to the crystal, I don't really know exactly where I am teleporting to in the new area.

From what I can tell, crystal #1 is the original HP crystal, so in theory you have a 50/50 shot of picking the correct one out of 2 and 3.

Fully agreed. I frequently choose the wrong one in zones with multiple points and would love to have a reminder in the "which HP do you want to teleport to?" menu.

Tip that most people probably realize, but in city zones with two points, #2 is always next to your mog house entrance and #1 is the old/original HP that existed before the December update.

But those zones with multiple points get a little tricky. Say, Windurst Woods with 4 points would be nice to see a short description. Or Ru'Aun Gardens with its funky numbering system, might be nice to see them point to which AA is associated with that LaLoff entrance. Minor inconveniences, but would be a pretty easy fix to make it more user friendly.

Why they didn't just copy how the Waypoints work with the Homepoint Crystals is beyond me. They have each warp clearly named and marked, so you know exactly where you're warping. Makes no sense for them to just give numbers for the crystal warps and expect it to be just as good.

The rule seems to be:
- #1 is always the original HP crystal (tough luck if you didn't start playing before now!)
- next is HPs by the gate
- next is HPs by the mog house
- anything left over comes last

It is possible to work out where you want to teleport to next by sellecting "map" then "change map" option from your menu.
This brings up a list of places you can sellect from and provided your headed to another town and already had all your markers completed via the npc's.
Then it is possible to work out where to go to next from a different area and locate the correct HP to go to.

Yeah it's a bit long winded and my saved markers always tend to get lost if my pc needs to be reformatted as they aren't in the same folder as my macros.
I need to go back again and get my stuff remarked I think but the info already posted is very useful indeed.

But really it's quicker to just guess and try again if you miss.

They really should have done this from the start. "Home Point - Mog House" "Home Point - Main Gate" "Home Point - Pioneers' Coalition"
It's not rocket science.
