Peruse the particulars of the Mog Bonanza.

Tried finding the answer elsewhere, but the latest undeliverable ex items list I was able to find was from August. Can you deliver the Rem's Tale items from your mules? If so, that'd make this the best bonanza ever!

The Rank 1 prizes are a little disappointing this time around. The RME are only the level 90 versions, so you're still stuck with all post 90- Ilvl 119 trials to make them useful. That's particularly nasty with empyreans atm, but mythic and relic don't get a free ride either. If I won the rank 1 prize this year I think I'd actually go with the 300 plutons.

Then again, who am I kidding? I'll be getting a rank 5 prize and celebrating all my freed up inventory after the event as usual.

I do think that the 300 items for REMs will be high up there for anyone that wins rank 1. I'd still have my heart set on a Ryunohige if I won, though I can't recall if they fixed the issue with Bonanza-won Mythics and making the item level 119 weapons.

The Official S-E site specifically states the Rank 1 prize legendary weapons will be level 90, not Ilvl 119. The page lists the corresponding Magian trial quests on each weapon to back that up. So I guess it all depends on the person Vlor because I can see both sides here. Level 90 relic and mythic at least have the 18K coins/30K alex stage behind em, whereas a lvl 90 empy owner still has to collect all 1500 HMP (in the current meta this is ouch!) plus dross/cinder, making empys the hardest to upgrade from level 90. But plutons run 500k apiece on my server so relic still has about 180 mil to go with ADL drops included, and mythic have to deal with pandy warden plus the 90-100 ish mil cost of beitsu (300k each my server), so that's probably around 120-150 mil when you factor in pandy warden expenses. I'm just playing casually atm, and I know level 119 weapons will eventually be upgraded to 120+ some time next year when s-e releases Delve Tier 2 zones, which could entail another Pluton like fetch quest trial to keep em current.

The problem I see with R/E/M is that to keep them useful you have to have the highest level weapon. When Delve 2 comes out if they keep the current progression scaling then you'll be looking at Ilvl 124-125 ish drops from the HQ tree, bird, and snow lion, and each Ilvl is worth about 3-5% increase in damage over the previous tier, so the Ilvl 119 legendaries will need another boost to keep em current by then. I don't have enough playtime to invest all my efforts into maintaining a legendary so I've diversified myself into 8 different well geared jobs so I can fill any role in alliance. And 150 million gil in my pockets would go a long way to keeping them current and allowing me to add another job or two to my roster.

I respect anyone who has the resources to maintain an Ilvl legendary, and if they can do so then I'm happy to see them keeping current. But for the other portion of the populace a huge boost in gil along with whatever the current meta drops at the time are will probably be sufficient. It all depends on how much time you have to play.

Mythics are still the go to choice for rank 1 unless the gil prize outweighs alexandrite cost by a significant margin. Hard to say, though, since that's purely based on participation.

Still don't know why they don't stop being cheap as hell and actually give us up-to-date RMEs for rank 1 prizes, especially now with the added gilsink of getting them to ilvl 119.

As it stands now, if you're not particularly loaded or don't have a whole lot of time on your hands, you pretty much have to win two bonanzas to get a worthwhile weapon; one to actually get the weapon, and another to make it not suck. And even then, that won't cover the 90-99 steps, which means either marrows, scoria, or an assload of plates/riftitems.

Winning just one rank 1 (which to many is already an inconceivable feat) hardly even feels exciting anymore because of this; either it will be like "yay, I got a weapon! Now I need to farm a sh*tload of gil for it to make it usable D:" or "yay, I got a sh*tload of gil/items to upgrade my weapon, now I need to go actually farm the weapon D:"

I think they actually established that Adoulin is not going to go over ilvl 119 (or at least, not before its storyline and such is finished, probably), which might be supported some by the fact they evened out all the Naakual fights so that they are all "content level 15" or whatever it is, and all of them drop ilvl 115 stuff. Which likely means that when their delve equivalents come out, they can be expected to also be equal to the delve content we have already.

Really? I didn't know about that. That's a welcome relief though, since it means it'll make it easier to stay current longer. That's good to know.

Totally agree. With the odds of winning so low, the big prize should be as big as possible. Why give away a moped when you can give away a Harley (or whatever example one wants to use)? Why give away a prize that requires a ton of extra work and money to be useful? "Congratulations! You won a new foundation! Enjoy your new house!" Gee thanks, SE!

Along with D-Harp, I'd say a WHM's Yagrush is also pretty useful with no further upgrade.

Just to put things into perspective for choosing a rank 1 prize.

The big debate is always between Mythic lvl90 and the money.

According to the market on Siren:

A 90 Mythic would still cost you over 300 million and there isn't even that many Alexandrite available without a server swap.

A 119 Relic costs about 225-250 million (without glow).

So unless the rank 1 cash out is higher than 300 million, you would possibly get more bang for your buck but just taking a Mythic. For most of us, a Relic is still possible but a Mythic is not without this chance.

There's also the general fact that, barring certain circumstances, a Mythic weapon is going to be superior to its Relic counterpart by a great deal. Koga better than Amano, Liberator better than Apoc, Ryuno better than Gungnir, Conqueror better than Bravura, etc. The money is basically never an option now, especially if you're looking to get a Relic.

I'd choose either the Mog-kupon I-AF-109 or the Frayed Sack of Abundance +1, apparently the I-AF-109 gives 12 of each Rem chapters 1-5. The frayed sack of 12 verdigris stones +1will be helpful once skirmish 3 hits on Monday or if you want a Gil option, both can be sent to your main.
