Soloing Dynamis Relics?Follow

Hey, guys,

It seems most of my posts thus far have been about soloing, so thanks for bearing with the repetition. I've read about Dynamis being soloable now, but what I haven't seen anywhere yet is whether or not you can solo a Dynamis Relic weapon. Again, if this information is posted somewhere and I missed it then my bad.

Presumably, there are better weapons now than Relics, but I'm still curious about the soloing experience. This would obviously include acquiring the attestation and shard solo.

Is this possible with a level 99 character and are there still benefits in working towards one?

Thank you!

I have the same interest. If you hadn't started at all, you can at least buy your currency.

Hey, Almalieque,

Do you know if the currency prerequisites are still the same as from years ago?

The currency requirement is still the same, depending on which job you use to solo, it'll take about 3 or more months if you're just farming coins and not proactively buying them.

Shard and fragment can be soloed by Bst, attestation depends on the formor NM but most likely can be soloed by Bst.

Right now there's only a few relics worth making but it might change after the Level 99 Relic/Mythic/Emp upgrade in November.

Hi there, Szabo,

Thanks for taking the time to post that information. I appreciate it. I noticed a lot of hooplah about Umbral Marrow, so I finally looked up what it's used for. Sure enough, lol. I'll probably save the "Is Arch Dynamis Lord soloable?" question for another time since I already know what the answer is, haha.

You can solo it to 99, but you probably can't solo ADL. If you don't have help for that you're gonna have to buy the marrows.

And the marrows are still ridiculously expensive since it takes a decent alliance or a very very very good party to take down ADL.

35m for the 5 marrows you need is not ridiculously expensive.

That's if the max amount they sell for is 7 mil each.

I don't know many people who farm Dynamis these days and there's been this same guy shouting for the last few weeks to sell a single marrow.
So what happeneds if I want to get a 99 relic solo but can't find anyone selling enough marrows?:(

Wait until they offer it during a log in campaign.

Well, when you scraped and pinched and saved and still only have around 11 million gil AND that has to help fund your Dharp as well AND you're no longer in an HNM capable of farming for stuff for the gil needed to pay for members to buy them, let alone farming him directly, then yes it is pretty ridiculously expensive.

The price on Bismarck when I was seriously thinking about it was 10 million gil each. It may have gone down since then. I can afford it when it drops to 3 million or less.

If you have access to Beastmaster, you can easily solo everything up to the level 85 version of a relic weapon (since unless you built a Guttler, you'd likely have a hard time with the Beaucedine Glacier NMs Magian Trial, let alone the Animated weapons Trial). Alternately, if you have access to Thief and Summoner, you can essentially do the same thing, but it'll potentially be a slower task, as Summoner with the Delve ammo piece can easily solo the Animated weapons and the Glacier NMs, but you won't have access to TH to speed up the rate of pop items.

Just out of curiosity, how would one solo the delve ammo piece for summoner?

It would be slow but you can probably enter a Delve alone and fight mobs one at a time on one of the solo-ey jobs. At 30,000 delve points it would take a lot of farming sessions. With luck you could grind out 1000+ points solo in a single 45 minute delve, so maybe do it in under 30 runs?

The Delve ammo piece isn't as awesome as I thought it would be, at least against the Naakuls. The only difference I saw against Yumcax was that my avatars didn't get one shotted. Smiley: laugh

You can't enter Delve alone, since you need three people minimum in order to enter a Delve area. However, you could easily get away with the Bayld ammo piece as well. I soloed the Animated Gun for Annihilator as Summoner before they added the two ammo pieces, so having the ammo would just make it an easier affair.

No, can't enter a delve alone, but if you already have the ki that allows you to buy it.. (This means you'd have to beat it once with a group, btw.)

I've duoed Volatile Matamata with a decently well geared monk + me on whm. So if you think you are good on whm and have a well geared monk friend to help, or you got a well geared monk and know a really good whm, you could duo up the plasm, np. ^^ And yes, someone who's uber at dual boxing (I don't mean someone dual boxing something easy; whm is not easy to play dual box. I mean, I've only known ONE person who could do it well!) could proly sorta "solo" it. ^^

If you don't have a friend to help or are not confident enough to dual box it, then yes, the bayld throwing item is your best bet; it's not much worse, really.

Why do I still hang around these forums >< talk like this makes me want to come back and finish my quest for a decent weapon... I feel like I left this game incomplete since I never 'pimped out' a job. Maybe after my exams... and my dissertation... and after I get a job ><
