More general forum discussion...stuff.Follow

I know between XIV's "return" and that XI being in a bit of a boring state right now that things are slow, so I'm opening =10 to more general chat sort of stuff for right now, at least till things maybe pick up again. Now this isn't OoT or the Asylum, so rules that have applied here before still do. I'd prefer to keep things still XI or at least Final Fantasy related, but I won't be against other topics as long as they're clean.

What're the odds of consolidating the glut of sub-forums? At this point, it's probably safe to say all the class boards could be lumped together and the game feedback one can probably go poof with the OF about (and the fact it seemed like they never read it anyway).

The class forums sometimes have relevant discussions, but yeah, they are pretty slow. Server forums are pretty moot as well. Poor XI. Happy XI anniversary.

Well, it's not just the sub forums that are having a general slow up, but =10 as well.

I was kinda hoping XIV would fail again so that, by the time I'd finished my final year of university, I could come back to an XI that was the full focus of SE's dev team :/ Now I worry what state XI will be in when I get around to playing again. All this delve stuff I've been reading... seems so complicated, and nigh-impossible to catch up on from where I left my poor, poor Diamondis. My friend just got banned for tractoring past some obstacle to HELM the newer areas, too... FFXI may be gone for me now =( Maybe XIV awaits us all eventually.

It's something that has been talked about, could happen, and might in the future. The decision on that would be up to the FFXI content manager team to decide amongst themselves. Probably if that occured, the less used one would get merged into a single historical post location of some sort, and then the entries would go away. It is a bit over cluttered at the moment for sure. That being said there is value to being able to easily find historical posts sometimes.

As an idea, group the jobs into forums? Example; all the mage or support jobs in one forum, Melee in another? Just brainstorming here.

No clue on the Server forums...they are pretty much dead for the most part.
