Hello my ffxi friends/fellow adventurers i haven't played this game in like 4ish yrs but me my mom, lil sis, and her bf gonna start it up and i got a few questions i would like to ask u all b4 i put us into a strange world lol.... My mom and i are veterans and played on the diablo sever but i c it is no longer active so gotta pick a new one. Was wantin input on best server to join since i got two total noobs joining me this time i want them to get the full experience of this awesome game. I would like a server that has a decent amount of low lvls to pty wit so i can teach them how the game is played as well as lvl up decently fast. Any input on this is welcome and anyone that has a social ls and is recruiting let me know lol. O and b4 i forget i was know as Tylerwyler 75rdm/50blm and Freaklyinsane 75rdm/70pld/60smn/55blu lol for those i use to run wit if yall still play let me know would luv to be reunited wit old friends.......... thx everyone!!
Bismarck seems fairly active and mostly friendly since I've returned. I've been wasting a lot of time just soloing and grinding away certain older content by myself lately, however, because nobody really seems to bother with some of it anymore (or they just do it solo, like I'm currently working on) and wouldn't mind helping out and adventuring with some new/returning players and leveling some of the jobs I've yet to get to. I don't mind soloing and can handle 99% of the stuff I'm working towards, but (and this may just be me, since most others are advocates of doing the older content solo) I just find it to be lonesome and boring doing it all alone. I always felt these missions and storylines were meant to be experienced in a group, so I wouldn't mind joining ranks with some newer players, leveling my subs with them while they learn the ropes and then tackling some of that content with them later on, when they were ready for things like CoP, etc. If you do come back and decide to give Bismarck a crack, shoot me a PM.

I know how frustrating it can be trying to come back and get a friendly answer in a climate where the majority of the forums are tired of seeing the recurring "returning player" threads and ignore them. I'm always looking for people to play with, especially those who still have some interest in aspects of the game besides only grinding away for the very latest expansion gear.
Sorry to bring this to you, but if you played on Diabolos before, you cannot pick a "new" server. You (and everyone you have previously known) have simply been relocated to the Siren server. In the event another character already existed on Siren with your name, you will have to rename your character upon logging in. And if there wasnt, your name -should- technically be locked into place all those years.
Your options are to pay a server transfer fee if you wish to start out at a new location, or to simply start a new character. These days leveling is so quick, a few weeks will get you past all level caps and into the 99 range for one or maybe two jobs. So either option is viable really.
It sucks, it really does, but there's really not a lot to do about it ._.;

lol yea i know i haven't played for yrs and my chars where deleted so if i do come back it would be from scratch lol
