Greetings,

With the influx of so many brand-new items, the development team is well aware of your inventory woes and they are currently looking into expanding the space.

However, due to the fact that both Gobbiebag and Mog Safe data are constantly on your character, simply expanding inventory size would affect loading times when changing zones, so they are looking into this very carefully.

Additionally, they are also looking into a new item storage feature, which is separate from your Gobbiebag and Mog Safe and will hold a large amount of items in exchange for not being able to check it constantly while you are out adventuring. As this involves implementing a totally new system, it will take some time to get this ready, but we will first be looking into the Gobbiebag expansion that we can implement somewhat quicker.

Take armory chest from FFXIV, make each armor slot hold up to 80 items, and figure out a way to enable hot-swap gear changing from the chest to the inventory.

That's pretty much been my long-time want. However, even if they just separate equipment from meds/tools/etc. it would go a decent way in giving people room. The only other alternative I could think of for some "not check your data often" front would be the ability to save gear sets and use that piece of gear even if it's in your safe/sack/storage.

Matsui here.

We’ve begun to really dig into the work for the fall version update, and I have some new information regarding inventory that I’d like to share with you all.

We’re currently in the midst of looking into making so we can increase your inventory in the fall version update.

While I might be repeating myself from the previous post on this, there will be a trade-off between the increase in item storage space and server lag, so there might be a need for some sort of limitation.

Since this is something we’d like to implement to improve convenience for everyone, we want as many people to be able to utilize it, and the development team is working together to see if it can be a type of storage that can be accessed from outside of your Mog Houses (similar to the Mog Satchel).

Please wait just a bit more until we can implement this.

It'd be nice if they just would allow us to store Delve weapons and armor, and have it so that the armor needs to be Rank 15 in order to be stored. If they needed to distinguish between the different types, just have it so that once it reaches Rank 15, it has a different name than the "base" item. For example, rank 15 Manibozho Brais on the A path would become Manibozho Brais A. The different names for the final form would be no different than what they did with the Trial of the Magian weapons, with the elemental staves receiving Roman numerals in their final form to distinguish them.

On the same subject, I'd like it if, once it reached Rank 15 and obtained the new name (if they used the aforementioned system), they'd integrate the augmented stats into the existing stats, so as to not extend the item information to where the stats are basically falling off the background.

Going back to the Manibozho Brais, which has the stats:

DEF: 80 HP +25 STR +13 DEX +12 VIT +4 AGI +6 INT +13 MND +5 Attack +15 Eva +19 "Magic Defense Bonus" +2 Magic Evasion +49 Haste +6%

and took the A path to Rank 15, giving it the stats Attack +15 Accuracy +10 STR +10, it'd be nice if the Rank 15 version with the new name would be listed as:

DEF: 80 HP +25 STR +23 DEX +12 VIT +4 AGI +6 INT +13 MND +5 Accuracy +10 Attack +30 Eva +19 "Magic Defense Bonus" +2 Magic Evasion +49 Haste +6%

Rather than:

DEF: 80 HP +25 STR +13 DEX +12 VIT +4 AGI +6 INT +13 MND +5 Attack +15 Eva +19 "Magic Defense Bonus" +2 Magic Evasion +49 Haste +6%
[1]Attack +15
[2]Accuracy +10
[3]STR +10

...Rant over.

Did they weigh that the player base? How much of an additional load time are we talking about? I would rather have a 2 second longer load time on a zone if it means access to 80+ more gear.

As we know with the FF community, while you may be ok with, more people would ***** and moan continually about it and SE knows this.

True, but that isn't a fair assessment, because the player base will complain regardless, no matter how infinitesimal the change is. The real question is, will people be willing to lose 80+ items AFTER 3-6 months of having it for a two second load time difference. I can't say that people will or will not, but either way, people will complain. At least that way, people will have experienced both.
