The two new Nakuaals look interesting, though I look at that bird and immediately think of Zapdos from Pokémon... <_<

If the Indian (Hindu) and/or Native American names hold up then it's probably based on the Thunderbird.. Often thought to be based on a type of giant condor or in some circles as a Hamercop. Which is part of a non-related myth of a Lightning Bird in parts of Africa and Arabia.

I would assume that, if anything, Hurkan is based on the K'iche Mayan deity Huracan, a god of storms and one of their creator deities. Even though Huracan isn't depicted as a bird in any form, Hurkan's name and its clear affinity to lightning does seem to draw connection to Huracan.

Xbalanque (Scythe) and Hunahpu (Axe) are from Hurkan.
Ixtab (Great Axe) and Tamaxchi (Club) are from Yumcax.

Square-Enix have gone on record multiple times saying that the new Naakual equipment is going to be far better than "Delve Group 2" and just below Delve MB's.
Expect the Great Axe and Scythe to be pretty incredible. Not sure why we're getting a 2nd Axe drop, doesn't the Bee already drop one?

I'm still under the impression its the delve bosses that have the better Naakual equipment. If the Naakuals are ranked as a teir then these two would be comperable or just above the current Naakual/Delve gear. Perhapse just enough to get through an expansion of delve in their zones. As for a second axe, War and Bst both use axes so here's hoping for pet stats on the new axe.
