Delve weapon ranksFollow

SE has stated that delve gear should be thought of in "levels" post-99. So a rank 15 weapon is actually akin to having a level 115 weapon, or thereabout. Looking at the max rank on these weapons, the boost is a mere 15 stat1, 10 stat2, and 10 attr1. This alone does not seem to me that it would be noticably more powerful against higher tier content, but I have noticed that those with higher weapon ranks consistently do more dmg in plasm farms and key item NMs. Why is this?

Likely has to do with the fact that people with the time and/or gil to sink into getting a high ranking weapon also likely has the time/gil put into maximizing much of their other equipment, leaving them with multiple smaller upgrades which add up to a lot more.

Do you have proof or this something that was eye balled? I have not brought out my parse, so I cannot verify this. Obviously an augmented weapon will be better, but you make it sound like a r15 weapon is blowing everyone else out of the water.

As far as the levels, I don't believe intended weapon rank = item level.
Item level usually refers to where it stands compared to all other content. Before, this game really had no clear progression path, so this wasn't necessary.
Weapon Rank is used to just show where you are in the upgrade process, similar to a trial number. The only difference is that path A, rank 13 is a lot easier to understand than Trial 4444.

I wish I had the chart that SE originally posted, but SE placed Naakual drops at around lv120. These drops can not be upgraded.
Current Skirmish content was placed around lv108, I think. These drops can be upgraded, but it's a random augmentation system, not a rank based one.

It's just something I've noticed using the scoreboard addon for windower. Is there a way to save it's output to a file or something for later viewing?

I don't believe there is a way to save the output (directly).

As a previous poster mentioned, r15 weapon might be representative of more than just their weapon, which goes back to why people started shouting for RME-users only. The idea is that if a player puts more effort into their gear/job, then the player is more likely to be more focused, resulting in a better performance. I don't know if this is a true statement, but I certainly believe a correlation is there. If you want to find the difference between two individual pieces of gear, continue reading.

I really don't mean to lecture, but... that's not really how parsing works. In this situation, it only tells you how players rank according to different statistics. A person (almost certainly) cannot make any assessments of individual pieces of gear with scoreboard*. Using Kparser, you might be able to draw a bit better conclusions since it'll have more information regarding average values and a player's "focus", but to measure the performance of an individual piece of gear, you really need to parse yourself several times with each piece of gear. I realize this is a bit more difficult with r15 weapons since most players slowly level up the weapon, but it's the only method to measure actual performance rather than theoretical, which can be math'd out.

* Not that scoreboard is bad. I think it's a great feature for some stats like accuracy, but overall, scoreboard lacks the power of Kparser, so it's difficult to make accurate conclusions with it. Also, only parsing yourself to find gear differences with scoreboard will work.

I eyeballed that my Bloodbath level 11 last night was averaging 300 more on ws than Bloodbath level 8 in previous Ceizak runs. (High of 5,100 for Upheaval vs. High of about 4,500; and averages of 3,000 vs. averages of 2,700 before). It also seemed like I was able to bounce hate more frequently with the Delve Monks, who have a notoriously easy path to accuracy compared to other DDs (AND they are getting an attack boost soon to - Monk is going be pretty much the only DD to take to anything soon.)

I would place a safe bet that people with high weapon ranks also have high or at least well spread armor ranks that are contributing the same.

People pumping airlixirs into weapon only are dumbasses. Can get way more stat increase across multiple pieces and you're more future-proof.

The difference in Barrister's damage could be as simple as Dia or No Dia though.
