WOTG is just an expansion. People do play XI on their PS3s but I am not sure how that's done. You will need more than just the WOTG disc though - you need all of them.

However the newest expansion didn't get released on PS2 in NA, so you might as well not bother. Just get the computer version. It will probably run better on the computer you're using to post than your PS3 anyway.

You do need WOTG to access those area, but you'd need the whole base game installed as well. WOTG specifically was never holding anyone back.

Like I said, there may be someone who admits they play on their PS3 who will come here and explain how it is done (it can be done) so if you just want it for Dboxing or whatever, you can do that I'm sure. I just don't have the know how. I suggest the google.

You need one of the older Playstation 3's that were backwards compatible with the PS2. Newer models aren't backwards compatible, so you wouldn't be able to play Final Fantasy XI on them. Regardless though, since there was no North American release of Seekers of Adoulin on the PS2, anyone that wanted to play in Adoulin would need a PC or 360.

And yet in your rush to call out a mild derp, you undermine a very important point he brings up.

There is no Seekers of Adoulin available for PS2 in North America.

I suggest OP enjoy his new backwards-compatible PS3, but not expect to play FFXI on it.

OP asked about Wings of the Goddess. Not Adoulin.

Unless the OP derped too.

I went with what I thought was mildly amusing, what can I say. Also, an hour between posts is hardly a rush job Smiley: lol

I think he might have, but at best he's gonna be missing what 90% of the playerbase is doing.

He just wanted a dual-box for Abyssea. I suppose that works okay. Hard to see those narrow posts when somebody doesn't have an avatar or signature...

Actually I should have just read everything from the beginning. Did I confuse this thread with another one?
