According to chat support and technical phone support, people are no longer able to receive free trial codes.. I thought I would try this game out while my main computer was in the shop, and when I went to download the free trial, it gives me a message saying I've exceeded my maximum number of registrations for this IP address.. which is kind of funny since I just moved here and I've never downloaded this game on any of my computers at any time. So I contacted chat support.. first the guy tells me that the previous owners of the house MUST have downloaded the 'free trial' game and this must be why I am getting this message!! So I tell him okay yea sure that must be it, now what do I do about it. So he tells me, have your ISP reset your IP for you. So I call my ISP and they reset my IP for me, and I go back to the link.. and it tells me the SAME thing.. So I go BACK to chat and get the SAME guy.. and he now tells me, the problem is that I must live in a sheltered isolated area in the world and that is why I am so frustrated... I ask him wth he is talking about and the only thing I'm frustrated about it not being able to get the free code for the free trial.. and how that has nothing what so ever to do with my location.. then he finally admits it is on their end, and he cannot help me... and the only thing he can suggest is me moving, literally, MOVING to another area with a different ISP, DIFFERENT as in canceling my account and signing up with someone else, OR, download the game on a NEW, SEPARATE computer!!! After this, I just closed the window and called up tech support.. where they then told me this was a known issue and the only thing to do would be to just.. buy the game.. and basically that their 14 day free trial was a bunch of fcking crock of ****... So stupid *** me decides, okay what the hell, sure, I will.. even though I haven't played this game have no idea how it will run on my computer or if I'll even like it.. so the woman on the phone directs me to the newest and latest download.. the Seekers of Adoulin, and that I must purchase this one in order to play.. I see where it says expansion pack and ask her, don't I have to have the original in order for the expansion to work? (as this applies to all mmorpgs I've played in the past) and she assures me that no, this one COMES with the 'original' and all I have to do is just purchase this.. So I purchase it, it takes awhile and then downloads.. then when I try to open it.. low an behold, I must have Final Fantasy XI Online in order to run this program.. WOW.. okay... so I call back tech support and, get the SAME woman just like I got the SAME guy on chat.. so now I'm seeing they only have 1 woman answering all their phones because I also did try connecting with account instead of tech support and she answered account phone AS WELL.. so anyways, I explain to her what happened and she says, o sorry, I can't help you.. and hangs up the phone on me.. so I go back to CHAT and get the same tard guy there, and tell HIM what happened, and he then says, o well, this is out of our hands.. we have a third party dealer that you will have to contact in order to get this charge reversed from your bank account.. so he gives me THEIR number.. I call them, and now they say since I 'activated' this expansion, there is nothing they can do and cannot refund my money.. even though I couldn't activate it BECAUSE I do not have the ORIGINAL expansion.. All this because they can't even do a fcking simple thing such as giving out FREE TRIAL CODES for their PLAY 14 DAYS FREE they keep boasting on their website, THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK, AND FORCES YOU TO BUY THE GAME!!! I am ranting and I am sorry but this game looked really cute and cool and I was SOOOO excited to be playing it and now all this bs and crap.. and I am just wondering does ANYONE have ANY free code to give out so that I CAN play the game since I cannot afford to buy the original game now since that expansion pretty much cleaned out my account, and they wont refund my money.
